Has anyone tried foam tips?
I donāt have any and I wanāt to try how it sounds
now thatās interesting cos I have an issue with my right being quieter in the highs. would be quite interesting to meet and compare our units but i doubt youāre in the same country as me
Iām considering buy this IEM because I can get it for 165 USD, I love planar drivers on headphones but I donāt know if sounds similar on IEM. Iām seeing this post and I donāt know if worth buy them for the issues in the QC and the imbalance, Iām thinking to buy them on HifiGo via Amazon
Are the Kato a good option too?
Yeah, from what Iāve heard so far we Timeless owners should throw a Timelesscon, and spend it trying to match units
A snippet of my chat with the person on the other end of the warranty guide qr code
Btw my treble imbalance sounds more like someone took a low shelf filter and scooped out 5+++dB of my 3k-8k region
If the store has a good return policy just go for it I donāt see how bad it can get. When itās not being trash sounding from treble imbalance I just find tracks with multiple instruments magical with how well separated they are. A great buy if not marred by a scooped treble
This sounds rough. I donāt really notice mine when playing music, only during sweep trying to ācheck it outā due to discussion about imbalance going on.
Are hifi go and Linsoul good shops?
@Alfonso_Gallegos I have no idea but the big audio websites should be good
And gdi my ears are shot from swapping my timeless around on both ears. I know Iāve recently developed a hearing imbalance from simply snapping my finger in front of my nose and hearing 2 different sounds on each ear(and yes itās completely opposite of my timeless imbalance with left ear hearing treble poorly while right hears treble better) this is not how I want to hear/solve my channel imbalance
I am using Comply Foam T-400 medium tips. They fit tight on the timeless nozzle. Very comfortable to wear and they sound perfect.
Ok so back at home and using them now. Seems like right one is a tad louder ~11k Hz and above, take note itās my perception tho, not accurate measurement.
I just went through all of my tips, all crinkle, only right unit, only after any seal is formed. I made extra sure to mount every tip properly. Tried putting it into left ear canal, annoying sound still appearing when I make pretty much any movement at all.
Thanks a lot. Iāll try to get some Comply tips. Iām trying to find the best tips between comfort and sound⦠and these iems are sensitive to tip rolling.
The Timeless is not perfect but for now I must admit that Iām quite impressed with the overall performance. Iāll do more testing to get a final veredict tho.
Hello everyone!
So my Moondrop Ariaās broke today (No clue what happened was listening to them suddenly the left bud stopped making sound). And Iām looking to get a more āHigher endā iem.
Iāve never heard a planar in my life so I was interested in the 7Hz, but I also saw some of the QC issues in this thread, so Iām weary.
Anyways, Iām really torn between buying these or the Sennheiser IE300. Very different categories of IEMS I know, but Iām just undecided on if I wanna invest in a 7hz which I may or may not like or get an IE300 which I know will probably sound good on my mostly doom metal & rock playlist. If youāve heard both, which one would you recommend?
According to @Rikudou_Goku , the P1 plus (Tin hifi) is better than the Timeless. Maybe worth a look?
I have reached the acceptance stage of my timeless imbalance grief. by combining brain burn in with mixed eartips I can reach a level of imbalance that is quite acceptable.
AET07 L that I know adds some harshness to the treble shoved real deep on the right and CP100 M that I know trims harshness on the left is one combo that works pretty well
clear cylinder thingy L on the right and AET08 L on the left also works really well
Also I got myself a JCALLY JC20(or as I call it in my head the Linsoul Euphrosyne+3 button mic on a giant discount) so it might just be the new cable but I have so many factors to test and eliminate that Iād probably break my mmcx connectors testing so ill just be happy and close this chapter of my life(hopefully)
Yes and he uses this EQ for the P1 Plus and by that ranking them quite high. Would be interesting to hear more feedback on P1 Plus EQāed vs. Timeless - as the P1 Plus seems like a solid contender at $169.
His EQ settings:
PEQ:
P1 Plus:
Low-shelf: 50hz, Q: 0.6, gain: 7.5dB
Low-shelf: 80hz, Q: 0.6, gain: 1.5dB
Low-shelf: 150hz, Q: 0.6, gain: 1dB
Low-shelf: 200hz, Q: 0.6, gain: 2dB
Peak: 2000hz, Q: 2.4, gain: 1.5dB
Peak: 3148hz, Q: 1.14, gain: 4.3dB
Peak: 6254, Q: 3.08, gain: 4,5dB
Peak: 10 000hz, Q: 5, gain: 2.5dB
Preamp: -12 dB
Have you tried EQing that imbalance? You can EQ channels individually to try to make them match.
I did but I have a preference against using eq where possible
- peace keeps getting uninstalled on my audio dongle driver whenever its unplugged and takes lots of troubleshooting to get back up
- I donāt have proper measuring equipment so I tried to match them by playing sine waves and volume matching them but it sounds weird after Iām done and tiny tweaks just makes it worse instead of better.
- I play rhythm games on occasion and eq adds a few ms of delay which throws my timing off very slightly so Iād rather not eq if a physical solution that doesnāt affect latency is possible
- This is going to be my do-everything phone and pc audio solution and its a hassle to eq every device that I own
This on Timeless
