đŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

It was @Ohmboy!

Youre right.

Could you measure yours so we know for sure if its the case?

And @Ohmboy could you also measure the narrower part of the nozzle?

Edit:
Oh, and congrats on your new iem  @nymz . You finally know its real and not just some conspiracy theory :stuck_out_tongue:

Ordered mine more than a week ago from hifigo and they still didn’t send it out

High demand. No ready stock, has been like this for some time.

Mine are dia 6.1mm and 5.2mm calipers are calibrated. Tips came in little bags, not boxes. No blue ribbon. No hat!

That settles that i suppose. We know there are 2 models with different outer nozzle diameter.
I went a step further and measured the inner diameter as far the caliper could go in with the nozzle grill removed, and i got 3.91mm.
If thats different on yours too(the trend so far is -0.15mm), well know for sure theres 2 different sounding ones out there.

Different nozzles will sound different. This might explain some stuff

Yup, soundstage and harshness come to mind.
Though i think more important would be to know the inner diameter, as just by outer diameter you cant say for sure, maybe one has just thinner and other one bit thicker walls

"My finger hurts removing the mmcx. mmcx remover wont fit because the faceplate "

It’s true ?

The isolation is very low, only a bit more than an actual open back, which is expected as the fit is shallow and there are 4 vent holes. I can hear conversations clearly, and I basically only use it in very quiet environments.

would an apple dac dongle power these sufficiently?

Yes it will. Just tried them with one, and for relaxed listening 30-50%(depending on track recording level) is more than enough. 70-80% is already too loud for me.
And this is with the EU model A2155 of the dongle, which has max 0.5V on the output. The US model A2049 has 1V output.
This is for the type C one, If i remember correctly all lightning ones no matter the region should be 1V.
If you use the type C dongle on an android phone, you need a player with direct hardware access to get the full volume, otherwise it will be pretty quiet even at max volume.

UAPP is okay ?

I use Neutron, but uapp should work too.
From the free ones hiby player works ok, and with fiio sound is garbled for me when i enable direct access.

Thank you very much for this sir :pray:t5:

Didn’t they have an issue with QC from their body supplier? Maybe this was part of the problem
not within spec tolerances?

@nymz My timeless is stuck at customs too. I hope they get here soon and that they don’t charge a ridiculous import fee like they did the last time.

I read somewhere that you have ordered the XD-05 BAL, if true, could you share your impressions of the device? I was curious about the device for a long time but did not pull the trigger on it cause of a lack of reviews.

Sure, I will make sure to talk about it and test with my iems and buds.

I ordered last week so it will arrive this week. I’ll post some pics around

PS: im also debating ordering burson opamps during 11.11
