7hz Timeless + TRI TK2. Decent combo.

Any compares vs Yanyin aladin?

Any opinions on if this is worth trying out?? Negatives vs. Positives??

I mean, do you have the Timeless and think it could use some more sparkle? I think it’s fine so I don’t intend to mess with it. I believe @DaveB has taken the filters off and apparently it’s not hard.

Also, @hawaiibadboy any comments on you impressions of the Timeless “unfiltered”. (This sounds like some kind of spirit lol)

If you already think its a tad bright then, no.
Though it doesn’t affect the low end frequency I did find it added a bit more impact (subjectively anyway) as you get a sense of air movement.
Probably only worth trying if you have spare filters to put back if you don’t like it.

I think of the timeless as a upgrade to the fh5

Got them for 2 weeks and sent them back.
Tested with many tips and cables se and balanced on FIIO M11 Pro alone, Fiio as dac and Topping A50s as amp, Ifi zen dac v2 alone, IFI as dac and A50s as amp.
Fit was good, details were good, bass was good (deep but not sharp). But at the end of the day it was too “polite” for me, no energy. I really tried to like them but
good but not great for over $200.00 for me.

If you’re looking for more treble energy but planar, S12 would fit your description, in case you’re after something else!

Out of curiosity. Which IEMs do you prefer as more energetic and you currently use?

Honestly Aria sound is fun, has good soundstage, good imaging
i think I prefer an aria than a timeless

The Aria is one iem that many love that I find dreadful. All that means is different strokes for different folks

I’m with you on that one.

I love the sound stage and imaging for the money, but I think you give up too much in the trade. The sound seems thin and veiled at points. I would take the Mele or T3+ over it without hesitation.

That doesn’t doesn’t count the nearly 20% failure rates we have on the Aria thread. Seriously, nearly 20% of all users that posted in that thread had a cable connector short out on theirs within 7 months of release, the Moondrop QC is non existent, as is the warrantee.

I agree with your assessment of the sound. I think if you do not have the sound right all the tech in the world means little

My timeless loses the sound on the right side from time to time. I’ve had several iems sub80€ and I’ve never had a problem with any of them.
How do I know if it’s the cable or the in-ear connector?
It happens to me especially when I have the in-ear connected to the mobile phone in my pocket. If it is connected in a flat horizontal position it doesn’t happen. It seems more likely to be from the jack itself. It is strange.

Have you tried a different cable and tickle checking the connection to your source?

Sounds like it from the source yes or the connection there.
