đŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

I am super happy with my Timeless don’t need the similar planer. I think I might get the new Timeless Eternal for something different

Its a DD or a Planar ?

It looks like a 1DD, but the listing claims planar

Edit: I think it is a 1DD, and the title is incorrect

Timeless shell with a big dd in it. That could be very interesting.

Modified. Allegedly, it’s using sapphire tempered glass on the back.

Timeless shell isn’t great for my ears: I’m more used to deeep insertion/small shells, that allow me to adjust more. I don’t know the price for these, but I think I’ll skip.

At current rate of exchange, it converts to ~$220 USD

hmmmm interesting :upside_down_face:

Looks to be a DD.

It is a 1DD, though why they call it a Tribute to 7HZ 10th anniversary when they where founded in 2018, I don’t know.

Yes it’s a DD, you can see it and it’s also written on the pic description. Also listed as “HiFi 14.5mm LCD Polymer Diaphragm Driver In Ear Earphone” . For the 10 years, it’s a PR stunt trying to capitalize on the Planar version, while it last, odd but not uncommon technic.

" 14.5mm LCD Polymer Dynamic Driver-Laboratory level

CNC Aluminum Cavity&Sapphire Optical Glass Faceplate

OCC+Single Crystal Silver Cable

Lightweight and Comfortable "

Here is an early 7hz Eternal graph  What do You think ?

Is it me, or is that an incredibly smooth graph?

What do you mean smooth ?

It’s not as jagged as some other graphs. I guess more linear would have been better.

Look bassless and harsh fatiguing sh’ :smiling_imp:(like the Timeless)

Not the point I was getting at, but I’m not one to put my buying decisions in a measurement graph.

Still that is one huge driver for an IEM.

I think it ils a little “oversmoothed” on purpose to make a visually more appealing FR . The graph seems a bit squizzed on the y axis, too.

Overall, the set seems to be quite bright. It’s strange to me: as I see it, having a bigger driver is a way to have more bass “easily”. But I’m no acoustic engineer, so who knows.
