šŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

I would say go with the L&P W2. It has all you need and more, but if you want bluetooth go with Qudelix-5K.
Qudelix-5K is really a nice little device as well . It sounds better than Fiio Btr5 to my ears

Wow. I didn’t realise that there were that many different dongles.

For a planar I’d go with power above all else. Nothing more tragic within hifi than a starved planar diaphragm.

You are right, but 7hz timeless I don’t think they are difficult to drive them with Qudelix-5K or a stronger dongle.

I knew that site at Head Fi before, I just find his reviews interesting because they change ā€œsound qualityā€ :smirk:

@rami_bouk Can confirm the hidizs, I’m about 75% on the single ended but I like to listen loud, slam for days. Stargate dongle gets them plenty loud at about 90%. I highly recommend Spinfits for these, tried all the stock tips but too many compromises with each. By the way this new Rezz track is absolutely killer with these @nymz I’m sure the Variation sub bass would be killer…

Has anyone tried with a FiiO UTWS3 or similar?

What do you mean?

Sound differences between two same dac chip models

Well, it’s probably true, since sources affect sound signatures. Im no expert on sources, so I’ll leave that to the pros.

They dont matter as much as other stuff on the chain tho.

I’ll say tho that I notice a difference on L&pw2 vs other stuff. Clean af. Dead silent. Best thing ever.

No, i have the e1da 9038s gen3

Odd, I have the Gen 2 and it’s insanely loud. Can’t go beyond 45% volume.

This is the tempotec sonata e44 i did find it the highest in that ranking list and this is his signal measurement in 15Ī© . I don’t understand it do u guys think he will be noisy for the 14.8Ī© 7hz timeless ?

He ranks them by sound signature and preference. I’ll advise you to take a look about what he writes about every of them (on this top 10 or so). There’s some that will give more power, some will give better noise floor, some will have better QOL. Still, you can’t go wrong on any, as long as it meets your needs

He is the best one that suit my needs for just 90$ haha . The guy said that he is the best all arounder with the widest soundstage and thats the most important thing for me . Thank you so much bro for answering my questions :raised_hands:t3:

Personally amps only have minor tonal change to me. I would focus mainly on raw output power (measured in mw/w), especially with demanding transducers like planars.

I would heartily agree on amps having little to do with sound signatures. I do think that a tube based amp might offer even order distortion that many might prefer but we are talking minuscule power that these amps produce. I feel that the difference would be smaller.
