Bass is more than plentiful and well ‘textured’. It’s one of its strong suits imo. I need more listening time It’s looking like @hawaiibadboy got it spot on. It really is a combination of Sony XBA N3-AP (bass/timbre) and Fearless S8F (detail). Need more time listening. But first impressions are ‘great’.

 F*ck Fedex.

BTW the normal tips sucks for me! switch them for Sony eartips (or whatever ones work for you). The one that come with Sony N3 works for me

Bravery & Timeless on monday for me. Then if I am lucky, maybe the Falcon Pro late next week.

If you’re looking to buy Sony N3. GET THESE. Save yourself money and get more ‘resolution’ and 0 BA timbre!!

Resolution isnt really what you are buying the N3 for though, if thats your aim a lot of other alternatives exists.

How is the bass on the Timeless vs N3? I guess the N3 has a lot more mid-bass, maybe more textured but also a lot slower and looser?

N3 has benchmark levels of coherency/timbre for a hybrid though.

Spot on! It can’t compete with the best DD bass, but beats any BA bass. Guess planar is a middle ground in this.

If I generalize planars based on the Sundara. Their bass should be a bit more similar to DDs than BAs, sharing the DD texture, extension and air but with BA speed/tightness.
