šŸ”· AKG K361

Thatā€™s if he gets a pair to bother reviewing. Personally, from the rather short time Iā€™ve spent with the 361 and 371, I liked the latter a bit better. Like stated earlier, Iā€™m interested in how the rest of the headphone comes together. I also would have rather lost the 3m coiled cable rather then the 3m straight. I can at least braid the 3m straight.

Maybe theyā€™re selling so much they decided to make a bluetooth version fast to sell even more units.

I own the K361 and I was interested in the K371-BTs but I found on the bhphotovideo dot com pre-order page for the K371-BT the ā€œkey featuresā€ stating that they support ā€œAAC, SBC Codecsā€.
Hence I am actually not interested anymoreā€¦ I own the BTR5 and ES100 BT-dongles and Phones/DAPs with LDAC, aptX-HD etc. and will not buy any AAC/SBC-only BT-device anymore.

Thatā€™s sad to hear, those two codes really are lacking tbh. There dies the hype for the Bluetooth versions

AAC isnā€™t amazing, but it is better than Mp3 format. Generally higher quality than Mp3.

I donā€™t wanna be that guy lol, but the thing is i generally mostly have FLAC files. and ive heard both aac and sbc and frankly both were dissapinting. sbc was super compressed sounding and aac was a bit smoother but still lack luster and lacked dynamic range (and since itā€™s just a codec itā€™s mp3 renders sound better than sbc to say itā€™s better than mp3 is slightly incorrect)

Aac Bluetooth ainā€™t bad but itā€™s not great, itā€™s a bit better sounding than aptx but not as good as aptx hd or ldac

Once you go LDAC you donā€™t go back (except maybe aptx hd, heard good things about it!) LDAC gang gang

Yeah FLAC is what I have on my audio player mostly, although I do have some mp3 and ogg files mixed in there too. FLAC just soundsā€¦ fuller? Bigger? Kind of hard to explain but I can definitely hear a difference.

I would definetly say so, itā€™s hard to pin point everything but brighter sounds (treble) are im pretty sure literally louder making the song sound bigger(louder) and fuller. i donā€™t wanna comment on other things since i canā€™t really explain them properly lol. donā€™t wanna spout snake oil. maybe someone can comment about things to look out for in FLACs over mp3s. that would be cool

The main differences come from spatial information regarding lossy vs lossless imo (also flacs are just more detailed and resolving too with better naturalness). A lossless file just has more apparent information in it that allows for better recreation of space imo

interesting, niceeeeee. thnx for the input

Has anyone tested AKG K-361-BT with Huawei P20 Pro or Huawei Phones? There was 1 guy complaining the bluetooth connection had issues with Huawei brand, because the volume adjust didnt work at all there

I have one pair of K361-BT, but only a Motorola X4. I will say the control is a bit off though. There is kinda of a ā€œlimited touch regionā€, and a I still sometimes miss it. But overall everything is working, it just take some time to get used to it.

Just posted my thought here on this headphone:

These are great value for money headphones which offer an excellent implementation of the Harman curve for those that like the Harman curve at a bargain price. The main issue is build quality, the low rent feel is OK at this price but even low cost products should be usable without falling apart. I know one guy whose headband snapped after about 8 months and another whose swivel mechanism broke apart after about four months. And fit and finish seems variable. And although these are great value for serious headphones theyā€™re not being given away. If AKG could nail the build quality Iā€™d recommend these as a great product to anyone who likes the tuning, but as it is Iā€™m hesitantā€¦

Hello everyone, first post here!

Iā€™m in turmoil in choosing between the AKG K361 vs the CM MH751. Would like to hear opinions on it between the two! Thanks for anyone replying!

Hey everyone! I received a pair of K361ā€™s second hand and it only came with the looooong cable. Has anyone had luck finding a replacement or any other shorter cable that uses the same locking connector?

I believe the cable is the same as the Sennheiser HD500 family, but Iā€™m not 100% sure. If it is, something like this should fit.

Hello, Iā€™m considering buying the K361BTs. I canā€™t seem to find any consistent opinion on how they compare to the non-Bluetooth version. Are they worth it? Are there any other Bluetooth headphones in this price range($100-$200) that are a better choice? Iā€™m not necessarily looking for ANC, just BT.
