@mtapro Since you have Primephonic…do you have the android phone version too or desktop browser? I noticed about 2 wks ago that the android now has the
HIRES logo on albums and if you are playing a track, highlight it and scroll up from the time remaining bar…it then shows all info, such as hires level, conductor, orch,
recording credits and date etc. I don’t see that readily viewable on browser yet (have to hunt for it) Don’t mean to sound like a Primephonic schill, lol, but I continue to
be impressed with their commitment to upgrade their service.

I have not used browser version yet because of bad internet issues haha. I only have iOS Primephonic.

Yea same they’ve gotten really far as of features and number of recordings! Their maestro feature is something as of itself, really useful for first-time listening.

It’s still a bit buggy though to be expected, but it’ll also probably be patched soon.

Any fans of Pictures at an Exhibition? Looking for anybody’s recs on best recording (digitally available). I’ve gathered a few and am going to endeavor to make my “best version” as a playlist of my favorite individual pieces. I know, heresy.

ELP, I know - I know. Keeping this one to the “old man” instruments though, thank you.

@irishnutjob I have had the fun of playing it several times. I also have ckd a number of recordings and tho older, I prefer Solti/Chicago 1980 by Decca.
Full bodied with good hall resonance and a typical forceful Solti interpretation.
Also…Classicfm.com has some favorites…Reiner, Kuchar, Rattle and Abbado. Oh, and Janssons with Oslo.
Have fun.

I honestly don’t know why, but I’ve had the oddest urge to find a good version of Ave Maria and Lacrimosa to pick up…

Love those folks. I could not be more appreciate for their high quality performance and recording. Truly amazing youtube channel.

Audio Technica AD700-X with EQ from the Wavelet app.

I don’t really know if this counts as classical music but I will post it anyways.

Despite the word “mashup” don’t be scared, there’s no electro beats or whatever – just a great pianist. :headphones: :slightly_smiling_face:
