Interesting

Yes, I knew something was up. Got an email from them 2 hours ago. Just too small a niche audience. Their forum won’t let me post my regrets. I hate to see this, but I understand. Never tried Apple and I am unsure of their quality…and Amazon HD has some limitations too, I understand, including not Chromecast compatible.
Thoughts anyone?

I seem to remember having no problems using Chromecast from Amazon HD but it’s been so long since I used my ACC that I may have it wrong. Too easy to just use bluetooth to my amp/dac now especially with some of the better codecs.

What’s the point in Apple having an classical only app? Surely their vast catalogue already has the recordings or is it them just swallowing up some of the competition?

Picked these up from Goodwill throughout the last 6 months.

@Cameleon30 I find Vivaldi to be a really good “mood lifter.” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

For sure, works for me

Personally I don’t like it. I’m pretty sure I’ll never have Apple Music, so that means it’s over for me. Too bad.

I’m trying something a bit different tonight. So far I really like it

AMHD > Douk Audio U2 Pro > Schiit Bifrost 2 > XDuoo TA-20 > HiFiman Sundara

@Raptor168 No Apple for me either, so I am looking again. Heard Qobuz once and their
quality is very good (a number of reviewers think so too.) Also their Classical catalogue is
extensive, since the founders are Classically oriented. They have pdf liner notes which I enjoy as well. What I will miss is PP’s suggested lists, etc. I have considered Amazon HD, but am anxious to see what Spotify offers when they go lossless, supposedly yet this year. Ah the risks of streaming, lol. PS, I had a feeling this was coming!

I hear ya. And that is a good point. It does open the door to go back to doin what we used to do back in the day - Go CD hunting! I think it’s time to re-acquaint myself with that lost art.

Not bad for .50 cents to a buck a piece

@Raptor168 Given the high quality of today’s cd players that’s a good option.
