Good Lord, that was beautiful. The way she so effortlessly does that with her voice - incredible.
@dcofficehack Thanks for the Et Incarrnus clip. She is wonderful. Child soprano-like quality, but with maturity and more vocal control. That out-of-nowhere high C at 4:45 is so effortless (ha, I know better) and the “Magic Flute” runs with the oboe are a delight. LOVE the timbre of the wooden flute and oboe!
@Raptor168 I just watched this and @dcofficehack s clip below as well. She is REALLY good. Is there a full version of it on YT or just these clips? The audio is actually quite good…without too much hall reverb. Thanks for this.
I think Julie Fuch’s at her best when she does Mozart, although she seems to favor 19th century French stuff.
But seriously, if you’re not already in love, here’s this. There’s a video of it but for some reason it’s not loading. This at least has the audio recording:
Thanks much.
@TimpTim44 @Raptor168 It’s interesting to compare Fuch’s Et Incarnatus Est with Natalie Dessay’s. Dessay objectively is a better singer. Maybe the best. Yet I enjoy Fuch more, at least in this piece. I think Fuch’s youth translates into an innocence that fits the music more.
Hey, I did have other plans this morning…before I went to this thread. I also prefer
Ms. Fuchs…a lighter quality, tho Ms Dessay’s voice seems to have more body, at least on this recording, and a strong low register.
That’s right. I’m sure we can make some headphone analogies, with Dessay being the high-end, more capable cans and Fuchs being the less capable, lower-end cans that we nonetheless enjoy more, at least on this particular track.
…!! ( says must be at least 10 characters…guess we are 2.)
Found this tonight. Well recorded…and I do like Abbado.

Amazon HD >e30>Asgard 3>DT 880/600 ( hp are 3 weeks old…loving the detail and imaging.)
New laptop…using Edge…do I need to use Chrome to get the picture or is there some other way I can do that? I just copied and pasted the link from YT but all I get is the link showing here.
Slight off topic but I’ll post this here as you guys appreciate all things classical… Inside a double bass…
Wow, cool! A mini concert hall!! (With GREAT acoustics!)
Enjoying this one tonight
