Finished watching ‘Weathering with you’ today. The bluray had recently come out in Japan, so it’s available now. I thought it was quite good. It has many thematic and stylistic similarities with the director’s previous work, ‘Your Name’. So I’m sure anyone who enjoyed that will also like this one.

Recently watched ‘The Garden Of Words’. One of the most beautiful short films I have ever seen. Everything about the animation took my breath away, and it also had a pretty good story. O highly recommend it.
I have also started watching a series on Netflix called ‘Beastars’. So far I am really liking it. It is a bit different, using 3D animation that somehow still uses hand-drawn style to it.

Just finished Season 1 for Fire Force. Good show. Has some painful exposition though…
Par for the course for shonen
yeah fire force was decent as far as shonens go, great animation and a cool setting with pretty tight character designs. It just has some pretty serious pacing and world building problems though
This is a really unexpected season 3 I kinda forgot about it but it’s one of my favorite isekais log horizon season 2 came out a while ago. And everyone kinda thought it was done lol but it’s one of the few well done mmo isekais

I am the type of person who you would prolly need to pull my teeth irl to give a 10* to anything ever. I’m
pessimistic for example, there is always something meh about something.
After 2012, my favorites and my 10* anime and manga were stagnant, never changing.
This made me remove a favorite manga of 10 years to add it and move it up to the top while giving it a 10*.
Any fans of Steins;Gate. Still my favorite anime 6 years later, and it’s the thing that got me really hooked into anime. Also, Jojo’s bizarre adventure is tied for first. Jojo’s speaks for itself honestly.

one of my favorites great anime. not one I really reccomend to someone just starting out though. jojo is just one of those things I like to observe from the sidelines

Bleach was my first, but I rec S;G as a first all the time (gotta warn about the slow build up, but after that it’s absolutely incredible). It’s gotten 2 friends ive had in the past at least into anime. Code Geass is up there too, but S;G has remained tied for first for years now. At this point, I think the only thing that will beat it is when I finally sit down for Cowboy Bebop.
