Spotify does tend to recommend me some gems at times, was listening to the new rtj album on them earlier.

I think it is a fine cable, especially if you donā€™t want it to break when it gets caught on things while at a desk or something. And I actually think that it somehow sounds better than the NewFantasia cable I got, call me crazy. Somehow it sounds more musical and full in the ever so smallest possible margin to me. My only problems with it is the weight is not as good for home use when walking around, and the silver connectors tarnished really quickly on mine, despite my best efforts to keep them clean.

I agree that it sounds better than the NewFantasia I have, but yeah, the silver is a lot of effort for not a huge noticeable benefit imo and the cable thickness and flexibility is absolutely obnoxious for how I sit at my desk.

The part where it plugs into the amp as well as the part where it splits into 2 going up to the headphones I can never keep straightā€¦ It bothers me so much lol

I have the same problem. I get really OCD over having my cables straight, even if it is not affecting comfort.

The cable i got with this was cuting in and out. Can someone recommend a cheap decent replacement cable from Amazon? Iā€™m not quite sure what to look for. The connectors to the headphone are smaller than the usual miniplug. i guess its a 2.5mm? will this be fine?

I see cables like these:

Says its Oxygen Free Copper Braided. 10$ more. will it improve the sound any? 10$ more isnt that much.

Does it matter if it as 2 poles instead of 1 like the Audioquest cable?

Either of those will work and 2 pole is just fine with nighthawks. I canā€™t speak on sonic difference between the 2. I use the newfantasia with mine. Works good. :+1:

I use one that looks almost exactly like the first one you mentioned but itā€™s the hd700 version, itā€™s pretty good for the price and I use them for my pro 82s/Monoprice retros and my hd650s. Only thing I donā€™t like is the braid is a bit stiff so tends to coil a bit when Iā€™m sitting at my desk.

If you want a really flexible lightweight one try this @Antpage2

I have to say yes i have. after trying them on the RNHP i was pleasant surprised. When i first got them i had the SP200 and they sounded small on it. but on the RNHP it sounded much bigger and immersive. I was impressed. I think also ive gotten more used to more veiled headphones. They are actually nice for some tracks. I suspect that people who like poorly recorded rap like them a lot.

I did:

lol jj, I did this for a joke. i usually take better care of my headphones

So they arrived. Out of the box as already said here couple of time they look and feel premium for 330eur, except for that disgusting cable. Comfort and fit is very nice. Will see how longer session alter this.

I am considering getting these (may not be anytime soon though) and would just like to know what other options I should consider. (Iā€™ve followed this thread for a while now so I have an understanding of the headphone.) Iā€™m mainly just looking for a headphone with good punch/slam to the bass, a signature thatā€™s any amount of warmer than neutral, and is maybe more on the relaxed side of things. Budget would be in the realm of 350$.
