Damn, that sounds really interesting. These were getting cemented as my next headphone yesterday but now Iām fully in lol. Def getting a pair

Exactly! I mean i did get rid of the m50s even though they started me. But they were falling apart. And o saw it as getting my brother into his first step. Digging him in. Now he has 5 pairs since I have them over a few months ago haha. Iām a bad influence
Yayyyyy. You wonāt regret it as long as you can appreciate their sound.
Lol, these Nighthawk were my first pair that got me into this hobby. Iām too far gone now.
My journey into the hobby started with a pair of Sennheiser HD 598 and Nighthawks were my 1st upgrade. I immediately liked them because they were more comfortable and had more bassā¦but they are definitely uniquely darkish. I couldnāt use them as a daily driver, but they were a nice change up. But upgrade-itis took a hold and I sold them to help fund my 1st pair of Audeze LCD-2F a few years ago. I still think highly of the Nighthawks as a very nice pair of cans to have in oneās collection, but not as a daily driver as they arenāt the best for all purposes. They are a warm inviting hug of soundā¦but sometimes you need a kick in the face.
Iām all about cults
I love warm, I am a bit worried about how dark they can be for some brighter stuff but we will see
Thatās why we own more than 1 headphone
Exactly. Iām trying to figure out exactly what the purpose of these will be for me. I know I like them for 70s pop rock so far, maybe some 80s stuff once I try. I definitely couldnāt use them as a dedicated hard rock set. Maybe some of the hip hop I listen to.
Like I said before, at the very least they will for sure be my dedicated gaming pair!
Theyāre just definitely all rounders by any means. But I have the extra headphones for this and that genre. And even some all rounders. And the collection just keeps growing.
I donāt consider them too dark. I tried some acoustic stuff and they were fine. Even with some Fleetwood Mac the treble was able to sparkle still, maybe not as much as others.
The main thing is if the bass in a song is more loose bass, it can ruin the rest of the frequencies. If the song has good treble and the bass is pretty tight, it holds everything together pretty well still.
Thereās no such thing as too far gone. Sometimes I question myself on if I really need more. But you only live once. If you dig the different sounds and the gear, may as well enjoy it!
Like I said, I enjoyed the Nighthawks. With some of the aggressive music I listen to, they were great. Example is some of the heavy death metal I sometimes listen to, they were amazing. The song Blackwater Park by Opeth is one I really recommend listening to on the nighthawks as that song is aggressive prog death metal, so it is very in your face. The nighthawks making that song soothing is part of the magic.
Very true lol
Although I am currently using them as my daily drivers, I like using them as a kick-back, relax, and enjoy the music headphones.
I can second that! The beauty of the treble taming down is that it can chill out some songs that may kill your ears haha. I love lady (95) by Styx but I always stop listening because I have it cranked enjoying the beginning, but then the guitar kicks in and Iām like āowā¦ nopeā. No issue on these ha.
Nice. They definitely are very easy to listen to. I literally almost fell asleep sitting up ( which I never do) listening to them last night. Dream weaver by Gary Wright was magical on these lol. Not even that into the song but it came on last night and I was like okay now I get it.
Youāre one to talk. XD
Hey Iām just saying I agree lol
Man, I wanna grab these headphones so bad. The way folks describe it make it sound like itās right up my alley lmao. One more thing to look forward to grabbing for myself when I finally get a job!
