I wouldn’t say rec, but I did like sundara when I tried it. There’s open back and closed back versions.
But I tried it long back, so if you have a chance, do give it a shot.

I don’t have an answer yet. I think it may be planar though.
Open back Planar. Prefer DD in IEM but big open planar with all that ambient noise coming through is essential for me.
Anything fit that description because I’m in the “Search” stage before hyping

It’s funny, I have explain the HD600s to people constantly just to explain why they’re honestly a kinda terrible headphone imo. They have decent midrange timbre, BUT the midrange tuning is way too forward, treble is there but has no bite or detail, bass is nonexistent, but the problem I have with them is that no amount of EQ really makes them that much better. They can start to rumble but their bass is flabby and low resolution, treble gets grainy with any adjustment, the veil from the overcooked mids can be lessened but never really eliminated so they’re always going to lack clarity.
U12t I always heard alongside the Anole VX were “about as detailed as it gets” and I didn’t find that to be the case at all and they had some pretty lackluster bass as well and an almost artificial feeling of separation that, to me, sounded like crossover gaps at times where there was just too much load on single drivers for a range or maybe a pair of drivers that just weren’t matched well or something, idk.

I think the HD600 was praised because relative to the competition and they liked the rep 
it was decent and a big hype at that time were Audeze that required lots of EQ by default which helped Audeze make money instead of perfecting the art of tuning.
Also, if heavy EQ was needed big deal…they would tell you what to do.
imagine me watching headphone reviews where a set was dinged because of too much 5Khz or something else….where’s your EQ-FU brother??

I gave up a couple years back pretending I don’t need to EQ headphones and ever since, I’ve been much happier and the technical capabilities of everything I own went through the roof. That being said, it’s fucking maddening that, no matter what headphone, no matter the price range, no matter the preference, literally every headphone is hot garbage without EQ compared to what they can be with it. I am genuinely right now in the market for someone with connections to any manufacturers or any person in the space that can work with me and design a headphone. I’m fully ready to commit and put the money up, but I have no idea where to start with manufacturing, but I’m dead serious about actually hopping in and giving it a shot. Idk why nobody is doing anything like DCA with the impedance bump on a planar for a bass shelf, nothing in the real world has any output impedance that would really change it and if it’s just adding more bass from something like a tube amp, I don’t really see it as a downside lol. The wired headphone market is a fucking joke. It’s to the point where I’m mad enough to do something about it.
