Bad Guy Good Audio Rankings and stuff (under construction) (Part 1)

26 with IEM
30 with Headphones

Sorry to bring this up… but do you hear any clipping from 12:45? I’m playing this song through Deezer and it’s kinda ruining experience because vocals are clearly clipping.

edit: it’s the same on youtube

With IEMs my right ear is 39 and my left ear is 48. This isn’t great in and off itself, especially considering I’m 29…

~15k. No biggie, I’m not trying to hear dog whistles

That’s interesting and really strange result, I can clearly hear it start at 17 and yet I’m 48 ^^ .

IEM (Tin P1) was 17
Headphone HD58X was 18

Some of those frequencies further down are painfully sharp for me as well, that explains why I’m no treble head I guess.

21 on my right 22 on my left. Cool, I don’t have old man hearing, I just like a lot of treble.

I got 23 with headphones, and 20 with IEMs. Much better than I thought I’d get given the abuse my ears have taken when I was younger. I’m 36.

I got 204…Too many years working with chainsaws etc… I just turn everything up to 11 and be done with it.

Do you guys also think that maybe your gear could affect how well you’re hearing the frequencies? Would be cool to test this stuff out with something that’s flat neutral (I’m sure scientists who study human hearing would have some instrument of the sort)

Can be your mood.

I got my 1st Covid shot today and have a fever…head throbbing.
I bet being in a great mood can heighten all of your senses.
Or thinking you are going to die…yeah that’ll do it too

I’m looking at the graph. It clearly has less bass energy than the FD5.

See how the green line is lower than the blue line? That’s what that means.

I train on asphalt so it was like 100+F
Japanese seem extra cautious so I blew it off

The FD5 has a more elevated Mid/Mid base so I can understand how it comes over as ā€œmoreā€ as apposed to the tuning of the LAND with it’s more relaxed mid bass/mid guide off…different tuning, the mids are a tad more scooped on the LAND so the sub bass/bass region would come off as more emphasised in this case…but yeah the FD5 has more bass graph kudos for sure.

Starting at 15k here with T60rp (ZMF Oval Suede’s). I reckon it might be a bit better on the FD5, I guess I’ll test once I get back home from work. But yeah I’ve about lost 5kHz of hearing the past 10 years. I’ll know the day when it gets ā€œworseā€ and I’ll stop hearing the humm of wall warts, USB-hubs or dimmable lamps :joy:
