Different, but I wouldnt say Apples and oranges. Maybe like Apples and Pears 
hana is very close to his preference curve and seems good.

I have a clear bias though, but so do ALL reviewers as it relates to ALL items reviewed. Friends with tuner, rep, fan of company, respects and aligns with another reviewer who hold an item in high regard.
OR…
Is not a fan of a company, or/and not a fan of a reviewer who loves an item.

just those 2 above are clearly NOT objective , they are subjective, perspective.
But yes, i like Mele over Hana by the slightest of margins and though midbass graphs identical the Mele has a bit more force and note weight. They are tuned quite similar by coincidence

Yeah i had the biased opinion in mind when i asked. I think ill just get the Mele and be done until I ear it, since my preferences go around all the places (I LOVE Teas and Land lol).
Gotta say man, Im feeling the gold more, which was a no at first sight. Pairs better with my cables too

This one seems to be closest to what I hear. Man they really f*cked the QC on these huh… Was your set a review set or did you buy it? Wondering if they only checked review samples and it’s a complete lottery for people buying them.
That graph is from Penon themselves. (only gave us the graph AFTER BGGAR measured his lol.)

Guess now everyone will doubt how the graphs are made and equipments. Im outta train for now. Mele and maybe some portable amp/dac. Any recomendations? Already have btr5 but need something with lineout to plug other amps

True! Looking at the design choices @hawaiibadboy was presented I think he opted for the best two. Now the difficult part is choosing one or justifying buying one of each finish.
