Bad Guy Good Audio Rankings and stuff (under construction) (Part 1)

Oh Jesus CHRIST I knew 2022 would be a great year for audio. These look …. Unbelievable. I love the design from the shells to the cable and the Fr looks literally bang on. I’m looking forward to the video reviews.

I liked that too

So, ostensibly, the bass of the IER Z1R, with the mids/treble of the DM?

One moment while I process this.

Unfortunately for both needing to keep my IEMs sound in, and other sound out, I’m not sure their openness will work out for me.

My question is how much sound leaks out of the Iem is it like open back headphones that are hard to use around Others Chris ? Thanks and anyone else who has used them,

Not much /at all
when I put my thumbs over the back it decreases the bass hum on guitar pulls on Big Boi Kill Jill
When I take em off I get that low energy drone again like it is mixed in track.
Nothing is clearly coming out the back (music)
Covering the back does impact low freq clearly though

Would love @tkddans to demo this with “Mr Blue Sky” :notes: :musical_note: :boom:

Wow those look really promising! How do they compare to the S12 or Timeless detail wise?

I’m on cymbals (Hey hey what can I do) as I type

DM tuning with planar detail would be epic :sunglasses:

High praises from the man himself! One thing I’m curious about is whether it has the similar issue of thinness and note-weight that other planars have… impressions?

Not at all.
Sounds like a great DD but faster.
S12 and 7Hz have a planar hum (best way to describe)
These don’t
No idea why

Oh boy, natural timbre as well?? :eyes: Maybe due to the other drivers? Guess this will be my very first planar :sunglasses:

Will be waiting for the review!

Maybe I suck at googling, but what is a PTZ driver? All I can find is PTZ cameras

Thanks Chris

Piezo, if not mistaken

I guess the next question is:

Is this particular Piezo PTZ driver:

A: A regular driver
B: Bone conduction driver
C: Both?

Piezo’s are usually tweeters so I’d say regular :+1:
