Bad Guy Good Audio Rankings and stuff (under construction) (Part 1)

It is quite good, and is the iem I used to figure out my preference. Now I’d like to find a set that I enjoy more, without EQ, while not splurging just yet

Where did you have to adjust the T3+? His squig has a bunch of stuff, but EQ was part of how I figured out what I liked too, and I just stumbled into some things as well.

The Mele was just a slightly warmer sound, here are the graphs

Aurora is a tough one just for the price. Beautiful set and certainly will sound familiar to BL03 fans, but probably better 1DD sets out there now like Olina/Olina modded or SeekReal Airship. Finding a used Aurora at a steep discount would be nice though. Basically, I unintentionally ended up doing a modified diffuse field, with a bass shelf, and near neutral treble, but if you make baseline diffuse field, it’s a sloped line all the way to near 4k. That target is about nearly the limit of treble I can take before it gets scratchy and harsh. Especially that cut on 6k. +1.8db would be more on the diffuse field target but it’s a no-go at my listening level. -1.8db is a safe sweet spot, 0.0db is where I can stand it and still enjoy a longer listening session

Are the Airship’s technicalities outclassing Aurora? Olina is too harsh in the treble for me, to be a “don’t need to mod” set, so that’s out for me.

Price aside and just on their merits IYO, does the Airship have technicalities that outweigh the sound preference I’d have for Aurora?

Yeah, Airship is using some generation of Oxygen DD. It is a very nice driver.

Was going to do Penon DD but no graphs and not feeling lucky

Just ordered the Airships today via coin toss, since I cannot decide between this and the ThieAudio Elixirs. I hope this one is going to cater to my tastes since I prefer a balanced/neutral sound signature, and it’s about time to get a Kato replacement since I am sick of Moondrop’s QC issues that I had with my Starfield, Aria and Kato.

Noooo I was looking forward to your graph/review on the Vortex. Mine should be here tomorrow

+1 - although that BGVP shell looks dope - hifigo need to sort their product descriptions, I be like 4 DDs plus 4 ESTs and 4BAs :eyes: going to be chunky.

I was going to trade expensive iems. How do you usually do it to cover both parties?

Looking at those BGVP ED12, I was shocked to discover that the red sequin might be the boring color option, the blue/purple stardust swirl is pretty dope.

I am with you, I would assume that anything with that many drivers isn’t fitting in my ears.

Hi Chris did you ever get a good listen to the Seek Real Fusion? Thoughts looks interesting? I know you liked the Airship.

All the numbers in the scale end in zero, so I’m assuming that’s 10db per green line…

To think that I almost bought it :upside_down_face:

Are my eyes deceiving me or is that graph looking a lot like a sub-bass boosted illumination?

I looked at Sqig graphs looks like a Teas2 with more treble energy to me?

looks like a Falcon Pro with even more bass and big roll-off after 5k.
