Bad Guy Good Audio Rankings and stuff (under construction) (Part 1)

hey @hawaiibadboy I hope you can help me. I have a pair of Tin T2 PLUS and I love them. The problem is, I recently lost the filter on one of them. I also lost the little piece of foam inside the tube. Completely naked

Right now, one of the two is naked. Could you make a measurement of the tin t2 plus without filter and foam so I can equalize them to the original tuning? I also have foam and filters recommended by rikuGoku but I thought that would be a bore to try, eq is easier.

Thank you so much in advance.

Last night was supposed to be the last “super moon” in my part of the world for the year. I beg to differ because these came in today.

I went in on this set for the same reason as I did the Kai, I wanted to get a set that could tame some spicy treble.
Quick honeymoon impressions. My go to test is one of my favourite albums but the snare hits on every track can knock me out after 1-2 songs.
A Tribe Called Quest - Beats, Rhmes and Life. The Hop, The Pressure, Get a Hold and Word Play plays fantastic. Phony Rappers and 1nce Again is exceptionally hot for me but man I was boppin’ my head for the entire album. Love it. Motivators bass line has heft but doesn’t overtake the song. The Kai tamed the treble as well but the clarity on the Mahina is so much cleaner.

Freddy Madball - Y Que. Vocals are recorded where Madball is spitting his verses over another track of his own voice. Main vocals are front and centre with the reverb like echoes on either side of your head is so clear you can focus on whatever vocal track you want to focus on.

The calmed down treble can let me listen for longer periods. I listened to The Elite Five’s Depth’s of R’lyeh album twice in succession because it played it so well.

I wouldn’t say the Mahina’s are detail oriented. When I say they are clear, I mean that the bass doesn’t bleed at all into the mids and separation of instruments and vocals are fantastic to my ears. I was looking for a reduced treble set just so I can have very long listening sessions and that will happen right after I sub this post.

Couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on the treble presentation. I have the same problem cymbals and hi-hats with most IEMs. Which are nonexistent with Moonlight and Mahina. Also, great choice of music. I don’t jam Freddy’s hip-hop stuff much but, Madball is definitely in my library more so. Not to mention ATCQ is one of my go to hip-hop groups from that era.

What cable you use for ex800st? Also, is fir xe6 significant upgrade over legend x and ex800st?

I knew I wasn’t going crazy when I saw it saying the Z200 had a detachable 2-pin cable!

Now if you look on the webpage they changed it to non-detachable cable haha.

So I guess is not going to happen? :frowning:

I can do it after my holiday. I have a t2+ :+1:

@hawaiibadboy What’s the nozzle size on the Kai? Looking to buy a different SpinFit as all I have is the CP100 which is a bit to small. Not sure if I should go CP145 or CP155.

Anyone wanna buy an ISN H50? 1DD 4BA

Gets stellar reviews

I’ll give a good price with free shipping.

I actually was able to fit on cp100 with just a bit more effort than usual.

I got it to fit but, wonder what effect it has on the sound. Wanted try a properly sized one.

We three kings of Orient are;
bearing gifts we traverse afar,
field and fountain, moor and mountain,
following yonder star.

When I listen, I listen long and loud. These are the tools I use to get it done right. Thanks HBB.

Can I get the measurements of the case? Really digging how it fits and stores the iems. I got access to some nice IP67 mini hard cases with the pick and pluck foam. Not as fancy as the felt but at least they’ll be safe and dry from the humidity where I’m at

I try the 145 over the 155 . I think it is most likely to fit of the two.

I don’t know how big the nozzle is on the Kai but the CP155 are pretty huge, they are what I use on the B2 Dusk and on the Audeze iSine.

Man thank you so much!!!

Length is 6.75", width 3.5" and depth without the iem liner is 1.25"
Threw a Pelican 1010 case for an idea of how bit it is. Nice that you can just take the liner out in case anyone wanted to use the case for something else or maybe store a couple of iems instead of just 1.
edit I didn’t measure the top lid as part of it’s internal depth and there’s about a half inch clearance more
