Bad Guy Good Audio Rankings and stuff (under construction) (Part 1)

@hawaiibadboy how much more bass would you say the FatFreq Meastro mini has over the IE600 and does the bass quantity compare to bassy headphones (I assume not but Ive been surprised before)?

Fat Freq has a lot more drone/rumble

What connection are they using? Doesn’t look like 2pin or mmcx?

Oh my goodness - the dreaded MEE audio god damned weird pole connection thingy - I have two
Sets of MEE audio IEMs and the cables were probably
Some of the worst cables I’ve ever experienced in the hobby and not being able to easily change them out annoyed me so bad, to the point I had to stop using them.

Don’t do this to us, 7hz. Please.

Yeah that is worst cable ever. No way they use that. All the folks who bought previous model and pimped out cable would be pissed and that cable type is ass
can’t be

NiceHCK NX7 MK4… With the black filters (most tame), spiral dot tips (further taming treble) and Questyle M15 running from smartphone.

First impressions are very good!! You have to be okay with an incisive sound however. More to come

Do you think it might have a similar tuning to the previous ones?

First impressions tell me it’s not quite that warm? The black filter that I am using is the new one and is decidedly calmer than the other too. Very well behaved treble there with Black filter, imo. I do suspect there overall signature is still intact, as in elevation around 6-9k and massive air infusion, but somehow it is not obnoxious to me. It is somewhat “clacky”.

I love it though, very clear and pristine sound. Cuts nicely through whatever overabundant warmth is shown in the frequency graph. It is a V after all

@hawaiibadboy based on your library wich set do you prefer? SoftEars RSV or DUNU SA6 Ultra?

Softears RSV :v:

I think SA6 U is an improvement on the original.
Bass switch is almost a non factor though.
I think Softears RSV is a top 10 set so there is that bias to consider.

Would you take RSV over the Oracle MKII if price wasn’t a factor? Any particular key points to why? I’m trying to decide between which one to pickup next.
