There’s quite a bit of that lol
Actually you helped a lot. I think I should try these first if I ever decide to get them
There’s no tech in the seats, there’s just so much energy, every seat becomes a transducer (Only in a nolan mix). Once the body feels 20Hz resonating through it, it doesn’t forget. Maaan, you must have some sweet car audio set ups back in the day…
Interstellar was recorded in an old city of London church and some of those church organs go down to mid to low teens… imagine being in the church with that sort of air movement .
Those low organ pipes are like truck exhaust sizes.
Natural deep bass like that has a different feel to it than the electronic artificial derived variety somehow…it shouldn’t but to me it kinda does.
Sadly I didn’t get to see/hear it on the big screen.
I can imagine. I was once moved to tears listening to organ music in a cathedral (though just flunking my 1st year at uni may also have had something to do with that! )
Free lunchtime recitals…hell yeh, I’m there…
When I first saw it on an old tv set I thought it was just ok. When given the mammoth screen size and visceral sound system it deserved, it was an elevated experience, dare I even say…magical. They still screen it every year at various IMAX’s now nolan brought it back to popularity, please do check it out if you can.
5:00…
Would love to go to those Temple church recitals.
Sadly won’t happen as my wife has Alzheimer’s so days/evenings out are a no-no for the foreseeable.
Not religious but church acoustics are something rather special.
Heard a lone female singer in Notre Dame Paris a few years back and it was utterly spellbinding to the point I nearly missed the Eurostar back to London I was so transfixed. Proper hairs on the back of the neck raising.
Music transcends all the dogma and in those special moments takes us experientially to the edge where we might catch a peak behind the curtain of consciousness.
I shall keep your wife and yourself in my heart and mind when I do go to the recital.
Best wishes, your new random internet friend
Try to catch The Sixteen singing in any of the cathederals as they tour the UK. Breathtaking!!
You have excellent, well-articulated cogent reviews. I have purchased several IEMs from your reviews and I hear pretty much what you hear across the board. Haters gonna be haters 'cuz they can’t accept the premise: If they don’t hear what you hear, it’s just differences rather than their pecker is bigger. A basic case of penis envy.
Keep them coming! (Well, maybe not - my money is getting funny) JK.
Unlocked the peek a boo…does it all the time now
Controversial issues aside, you literally described Campfire Audio.
Doubt ChiFi would ever be there
Interesting, I never heard of them offering repairs like that. Every internal shot I’ve seen just contains a lot of glue, and their newer models seem to have even done away with screws altogether!
In all fairness, it’s been some time since I sent something back, however, repairs were always welcome.
MMCX connectors replaced free of charge out of warranty, driver issue resolved on another set and even a cable replacement.
I sent back sets before I would sell them, for inspection and measurement. No cost.
On OOW stuff I only paid inbound shipping. Fed Ex return shipping… indeed.
Their product line is quite vast now , so likely things are different.
Can confirm, at least in my experience; had a B-stock Andromeda pre-2019 V2 that was out of warranty with a failed BA(s) up in the highs on one side. I contacted them and offered to pay whatever the repair would cost, ended up paying nothing but shipping to them and got a new-looking pair of V3’s back. If nothing else, CA takes care of their customers (in my experience).
Is the going to be final?
If so…put me down for a set. That subtle bump at 500Hz is something I need in my collection.
My RN6 has a lift in mids and it is awesome for vcals and “musicality” to my ears w/my library
In that case, I applaud them for that at least! Repairable or not, helping customers out like that is always admirable. Good on them!
Not “final”, per se, there’s a lot of hoops I have to jump through when making something ready for manufacture. But that hump will remain there till the end.
Any changes will be mostly outside of the 200-2000hz region.
The Sixteenth are great . i realy must get a CD of them.
