It’s a 65 inch OLED monitor…well…TV that I hijacked for PC work…resolution is phenomenal …even close up…my wife games on it occasionally

I saw that at a trade show…it is a nice monitor…just too small for me…and it would not be good for what I need…I’m sure it would be great for gaming though

I am looking forward to seeing the video on the measurement methodology. There may be dozen of factors that may affect the readout like the angle of the probe against the shell (or rather the driver in the shell) and if you hold the meter with your hand as you have shown in previous vid - the force you hold the probe against the shell, how you hold it (it may affect the damping of the vibrations), the area of contact etc.
Bu there may definitely be something to it if the measurements aligns with your experience

I’ll share a full sitdown unedit vid. The pressure/contact is not read if the device is already resting on a surface as I learned the hard way. The MAX effects the avg and that moment of contact plus 2 seconds, so has to be pressed to measure after that or it will have an anomalous bump reading about 2-4 secs into measure.
The process is fairly easy but adjusting each set to 77dB with a 450Hz tone first is the time consuming part really.
I can’t measure most CIEM cuz not flat enough area, MEXT was just enough. More impactful maybe where the driver inside is relative to the probe
If it is not in this area it doesn’t get a measure cuz you wont get that tactile transfer anyway so driver location is probably second only to shell material/thickness

YT recommended me a Ginger Baker video a couple of days ago and I went down the rabbit hole of learning about his character and life. Nuff said.
There’s still a lot of music I need to listen to and discover from that time.
I’d vaguely heard of his colleague Ram Dass but didn’t know/remember about Leary. Over here in the UK at least, serious research was hampered for decades. In Uni, I learnt about psychedelics researcher Prof. David Nutt who was controversially dismissed from his government advisory role after he classified drugs according to evidenced based harms, which put alcohol much higher than the government of the day was comfortable with. The stigma is fading and regulations have loosened up a bit these days. Ketamine has found a place as a therapeutic for example.
Anyway, that’s a tangent, just meant to say thanks for sharing your story because I read it three times over!

Thank you for making me feel a lot better about my collection, which is probably around 20.
Sadly, I have 2 more coming this month, and am pondering another, le sigh.
I am fairly sure the objection to most other drugs is more about figuring out how to tax them, and that the folks making booze had loads of money, and were influencing policy.

The few friends that stick around - it was always a thread of music that brought us back together, whether it was distance or a fallout. That’s why I always think of music as the north star. It lights the path.
