Bad Guy Good Audio Rankings and stuff (under construction) (Part 2)

:bangbang: I figured they’d be working on more Kilobuck stuff for the near future for sure. I still would love to hear the Jupiters one day, I’m hoping they’re at CanJam in March so I can snag a listen.

Trust me, brother, all the hobbies I’ve gotten into have all been so expensive I have to back out soon after getting into it.
Skateboarding
Shoes
Clothes
Video games
Photography
And now, audio. Audio is the only one I haven’t been able to put down without making money with the hobby, like photography. Just booked a wedding for later on this year and it’s a decent payday, that’s the only way I can justify still owning and buying gear.

Audio though, there’s very little chances to make money unless you get into the collab space but that takes literal years of gaining trust with the community. Not many can handle the pressure, I assume I probably wouldn’t be able to.

Ya gotta have a severe case of masochism to get involved on that end

lol more like some form of OCD, I swear

Same here, I was into digital drawing, photography, bought lots of vintage Fujifilm lenses and an X-M1 camera, and now into iems, currently a planar (og Zetian), a hybrid (Kontinum Soara) and a dd (Sonic Memory SW2) and thinking about to hit the red button on my wallet for a Plunge Audio Unity as ba set.

Brother, I can’t even begin to start listing the amount of lenses and cameras I’ve bought and sold over the years. Probably about 5 Nikon cameras, 2 canon, and at least 8 Fujifilm, not to mention the 15+ lenses. It’s absolutely insane.

I’ve narrowed down what I use to a 35mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4 and a 50mm 1.8 when I need it. For weddings, I usually just rent a 24-70mm and a second body if needed. It’s an expensive hobby, but there’s potential to make money. If I had to add it up, I’ve definitely made money with my photos over the years luckily.

IEMs, though…. Absolute money pit  but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s all about the :notes:

@hawaiibadboy I know you love the Canpur CP622B, have you considered to try the CP54E?

I have not tried the CP622B, but the CP54E is a beast among the BA or BA+EST sets I have tried (Supernova, Neon Pro, Anole VX, Anole V14, Meteor, Butastur, Impact and more)

The standout feature putting it above the rest is how good they have managed the BA bass, I imagine your CP622B being the same but a step up with the added BC.

Niceee. What are your thoughts on them?

Yooo these look super interesting. Compared to the other BA sets around the same price, what are your thoughts?

Edit; wooooahhhh pause, didn’t realize the price tag would be all the way up there  they’d better be insane for that kind of coin.

Just ordered this morning…bored with nothing to do…strolled through Linsoul’s site and just clicked buy…no thought or debate with myself…wasn’t even looking to buy anything initially

I tend to lean towards this idiocy when I’m bored…so…the Linsoul time frame is in effect

Yeah for sure, they are not cheap. Sitting here and thinking do I need them? if so I need to sell some stuff, and I have no need for two higher costing BA sets. If so Neon Pro has to go, been a faovorite of mine for long time as a BA set. But would I cry if I sold NP to get CP54E, not at all.

CP54E has not that much more resolving sound, but the tonality is better. Less aggressive mids, warmer tilt, stage more spacious, treble as extended and airy but more silky and refined.

But the bass is way ahead imo, been said plenty times that its a negative that sets have BA bass. But cant really say that on this one, sounds so textured and slam like a boss.

Have it over the weekend for the tour, can test alot more. And even then I’m waiting with ordering anything new until I have gotten my next two IEMs.

I have both those mid Ziigaats in the cart, It’s coming down to the wire, sale wise. The tuning on Doscinco is 95 percent my target, bass over pinnae, no deliberate emphasis or deemphasis in treble. Can’t wait to see what they do with totl level.

Isnt called the Jupiter? Or Not high end enough?

I’m not sure why I even bought them…they graph similarly and basically have the same configuration as my Hype 10s…minus 7 BAs…but I was a bored junkie looking for a fix

Jupiter is plenty high end …Doschino has different tuning , 30 hz and below, 3 khz, 10 khz are all elevated from Jupiter, so it won’t be as relaxed.

My Canpur is on another level from all other earphones including Storm, FF GM and Traillii.
A total new level for IEM.
its-the-next-level-now-gerald-goodwin

*Resolution…best I have ever owned
*Bass quality and IMPACT…(this is a mind bender cuz it’s BA)
*Fits like it was made for me.
If I were struggling I would be fine with selling my entire collection and just keeping CP622B
I might grab the more wallet friendly CP54E and see what it is about. Canpur runs the TOTL game IMO
It’s not even close

I’m with ya, Yet there is great fun in finding the gems, last one was , and still is Artti R1, use it every day…just purchased one for my son.
I think Doscinco will have a bit more bass slam than Hype 10 and looks a bit smoother on top…

I’ll let you know…my 10 has some of the most volumetric sub-bass that I’ve encountered

and I’ve been hitting the heavy bag a lot lately with these…with the port fully open…getting in shape for the Scarlets
