its a placeholder for sure. They do that often.
That, or Timmy is coming for our wallets
it would be DOA with that upper treble at that price.
I’m still not completely sure it isn’t DOA anyway. That treble is deeply concerning, considering what we can get under $100, under $50 these days
It better be $40 max. Not sure more can be justified at this point.
Where can I find that 75ohm adapter thing?
On the bright side, in 80 years it will be worth 6 times as much as a collectors’ piece.
Sorry, who are we kidding that IEMs keep value. Hopefully Linsoul won’t be frustrating to deal with if you plan to get it replaced.
For being 10ohm impedance, I sure have to raise the volume by a lot to get the same volume as the Olina using these Khans :\
I like that they are a nice sidegrade though. Better bass, male vocals sound a little more natural, and mids are as shouty but the olina isn’t shouty at all. Khans are just a little more laid back. Treble isn’t as sparkly as the olina but it’s there. I find myself enjoying darktide with the khans moreso than the olina when switching back and fourth. I definitely hear the soundstage and hallways with reverb and echo’s off the walls now. Feels more open sounding with the khan. I’ll play some battlefield later tonight to get a better listen with soundstage and imaging. I feel like I track the AI enemy through walls better with the khan.
I do notice the wide bore and weight of the iem. Not as heavy as the oh10 but the bore is definitely noticeable. Especiallty with the medium tips. I always use medium tips and never have issues. When I use small tips on other iem’s there isn’t a seal. However with the khan, small tips seal fine which seems the tips are either bigger than they say, or the bore size just make them bigger.
Doubt it since it has a sonian BA. Thats 30 dollars alone
Wow really. Now I know.
Ok so we’re more likely looking at $50-70 then. Who knows, it might be worth that if the detail, tech and tone is there. Tuning all the way to 10-11k is really good.
The S12 and D13 both launched around 120 - and those were single driver. I’d be surprised if it’s under $100.
its this driver:
And with a batch discount at probably 30% off, it should be possible to get it at 40 usd, at least purely on material cost.
Share that pic with Linsoul and get another set.
That’s an easy to see issue. no video needed for that.
Sorry you got a set like that
Nice Track!
I was crankin´it really loud in my car and the claps were a little intense to my ears
Does anybody know what frequency that might be? Or is there an app that records sound and can display the frequencies?
I would like to decrease that specific frequency in my DSP
Off the top of my head I find those percussive accents to be at around 8k?
Placeholder answer until someone answers in depth and detail, such an answer must definitely be on its way.
I´m always having a hard time finding out the right frequeny…i did not play around yet and hoped that there is an easier way.
I would probably have guessed something around 6k
I would put it somewhere with snare readings… but then there’s this, apparently info from an art exhibit:
“The sound frequency of an hand clap is typically within the 2200 to 2800 hertz range.
A webcam with a build-in microphone fixed on a wall reacts to every sound in this freq”
A tool for playing a track and seeing what frequencies light up at different seconds of the song is a spectogram, here’s an online one I found:
I just tried it with “Never Gonna Give You Up” for a laugh, and it seems to work well!
EDIT:
I wonder if this is an example of mp3 compression (and youtube before that, I’m on a work laptop with no local files so I quickly got the track off YT and will delete it now the test is done) but there’s nothing above about 15KHz!
This might not be a great one by the way (the scale is very cramped, could be hard to see exactly when the claps come up) but it’s the kind of program that might help you.
EDIT: Checking the “logarithmic” box gives a more useful scale. I bet there are free desktop apps that allow better tweaking of time scale too to really pinpoint clap moments.
Very nice! Thanks for the link, i will try that out when I´m home from work!
