Did I catch that they upped the price to get the shipping covered? I haven’t had a update in 7 days, when it showed being in the US. I emailed them this week, with no response. They are bad at anything resembling customer service.
The folks that waited and ordered on Ali Express were the first to get theirs, largely because they actually used a real shipper, with legit tracking, as opposed to the Singapore Post crap the regular pre-orders got.
If FF tried to make me pay for the shipping on the broken unit, I would report it as fraud to my credit card company, and let them sort it out.
I am in this camp, even if this set walks on water, it will still always have the stink of the shittiest shipping experience, and worst customer service in chifi, which is a competitive event.

Imo you should review as is, let people know, help formulate opinion better when there’s still not much info around. I feel like everything is part of it. The overall customer service cause it’s first-party, the build, the package, all of it in addition to sound.
Good to see that FF is alive, but very weird that they respond to breakage reports quickly, while completely and totally ignoring the rest of the customers, no matter how urgent the subject.
I am sending it off tomorrow. It’s a strong set, very fun, very bassy with flat mids. They did a great job. But I’ll hold off my review until I get my return unit. It’s not like they need my review to sell more. XD I’m not a professional reviewer, hell it’s a massive money sink, and being an audiophile is one of the worse financial decisions I’ve ever made. lol
I’ll mention the process when I finally get it on the way back as an overall process. I hope it’s a positive experience, but not a big deal. I mean Toecutter has been saying this since the Scarlet Mini release. Hell, I ran into a comment of mine a few weeks on reddit after I got my GM saying “Don’t order from Fat Freq directly” from like Feb 2024, which is like 6 years ago in Hifiland. So I broke my own rule and ordered from them directly and it’s taken forever to get here. The month or so return process will let me simmer down.

I will say the adapter and case are dope, they are staying with me while the shells go off. I enjoy them a lot. I’ll update you guys when I hear more. I really like having a 10 ohm adapter 4.4 mm female to 4.4 male.
