If a lot of people have had to resort to that, it could lead to Paypal freezing them, or giving refunds by default and skipping due process based on the poor track history. Either way they’re not making friends with Paypal any more than they are with customers at the moment.

The Deuce can’t quite trade body blows with the Scarlet in higher amplitude notes…they’re volumetric but seem less dense
But at 1/3 the price of crimson the Deuce is a steal

There are no lights at the end of the tunnel when they can’t even communicate. It’s been a shitshow from the beginning. Order in july, delayed shipping with no notification unless you sign up for their newsletter, and when they finally send the shipping notification more than a month after the date they said, still waiting over a month with no actual shipping information just an empty tracking.
During all this time do they respond to emails, any communication, or even send any sort of generic update? No nothing at all just continue the same.

I totally get what you’re saying about the Deuce vs. the Scarlet, definitely a different vibe, but for the price, the Deuce is hard to beat. I’m sure your nephew is gonna lose his mind when he gets his hands on that Hades! You’ve definitely earned some serious uncle points with that gift haha

Here you go a never ending struggle with them, preordered july 31 I’m assuming people who have their orders before me are probably also still waiting… It’s one thing for them to communicate badly but to not communicate at all is just frustrating.

Absolutely. The scarlet is on a whole different level! as for the deuce, honestly it was the price and what it could potentially provide for it that made me pull the trigger. So far, I am really happy, but i really need to take it for a long drive to really be certain and hope its not just the honeymoon phase

Get your point but nobody is forcing FF to just ghost hundreds to thousands of people.
Nearly everyone i know has got a broken super late or nothing at all and 10,000 sets are in the wild and we just see the folks who get on forums. That’s like 2-500 peeps on Discord/FB and Headfi.
Same people migrate across platforms.
I think a majority of folks have got hosed.
We don’t see it because this is hardcore hobbyist territory.
Most annoying is reviwers have sorted stuff fast.
Nobody else is getting service.

yea, its certainly far from ideal by the looks of it. I can only speak for my experience and not much else, it would defo be nice to see if everyone had the same experience.

I just got the Muse Hifi M5 Ultra and love it. Going to basically be my new test portable dac/amp + tubes but now I’m also eyeing an additional desktop pick up of either the TAP-1 (with the decoding and the PSU) or the Xduoo XD05T (tube ‘portable’ but only portable in the sense that you’re moving from one desk to the other).
I know @Andy_Pickard has his set so curious about other’s experience with it right now. Just a lot of components/boxes to go on a desk vs just one (with the Xduoo)

This might be pouring some
oil onto the fire after getting the deuce fairly quick compared to almost everyone (direct FF order, first 150. Shipped Oct 3, received Oct 16 through Fed-Ex), I decided to go for the cableswap. No problems whatsoever, but they were pretty tight in there.
I put the Hifigo x Effect Audio cable on it. No more microphonics, yay!
