Quick update from another Deuce disaster from FatFuck.
My package has been sitting on the airport for almost 40 days. I’ve asked FF to open an inquiry with Singapore Post through email and in the last 2 week, through a PayPal dispute, which they refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem.
Got no response, escalated the dispute with PayPal and now I’m waiting.
I hope PayPal don’t fumble on me. It’s insane, I went through my birthday (last month) and probably Christmas without the IEM or this resolved.
PayPal has historically had significant customer bias when it comes to disputes. You’ll very likely get your Deuce or your money back before all is said and done.
I bet some of you remember my 2nd dance with FF… 5+ months for a $700 monitor

It is a bit out of my price range, and I am feeling tapped out. After not picking much up for a while, November was a bit nuts for me. I got Deuce, Arcadia, Que, and E20.
I snagged a Steam Deck in September and then bought a few games in October. Christmas with 3 kids, and 3 grandkids is always a bit more expensive than I plan for, mostly because I am a sucker.

That doesn’t help thousands of victims but it’s hopefully going to prevent this shit from festering longer for people not in the know.
Like the guy you mentioned, talking about PEQ values and not the absolute disaster that has landed on thousands of peoples heads (no units, broken units, ghosting, non complete orders etc)

Sheesh thats a lot of new toys to play with! I was about to get the E20 for EQ purposes but changed my mind and got the Gimlet instead. All 4 of my black friday purchases should come in 1-2 days.

Everyone here sympathized with your Fatfreq plight (though perhaps not on every single comment made on it - apologies) and I haven’t seen any regulars defend Fatfreq as they are patently wrong regarding Deuce, ethically suspect elsewhere and shit at basic business functions. My advice to any people like that is the same - do you have the competence & CAPACITY to deliver, don’t try and run before you can walk & in fact perhaps don’t run a company yourself - look at your partners and colleagues through business competence eyes before saddling up with them - then go bring your creative or technical skills to work for someone that can do those things as they are very different skillsets and not everyone is cut out for it. But if anyone does decide to try reap the rewards of ownership then they are liable for their fuck ups and here Fatfreq have a lot of fucking up to answer for without any customer leniency as they made these choices - in fact they kept making bad choices over and over again.
Personally, I didn’t bother ordering the Deuce from Fatfreq as I don’t think presales in the audio world nearly ever go well and issues in this circumstance seemed almost inevitable given your previous situation with them and similar delays reported by multiple people. Not to mention this being their most ambitious project which would likely attract multiples of their previous order highs, at a lower pricing point, attached to an effective marketing partner where they clearly did not have the facilities.
But that comment to you at 2 months of your waiting wasn’t really news to you - not only had you already been through this once before (and still ordered again) but also in your own words

Better include @hawaiibadboy to that list, even though his seemingly sage words, we now know wouldn’t have helped as Fatfreq will try most anything to not cancel an order (even when they charge to do so).
Big respect, Chris, most of all for staying consistent and vocal about it from the very beginning. While it should have been FF all along.
I cannot imagine how they can possibly deal with this at this point. Like people here mentioned spot on, with each passing hour it’s getting more and more impossible.
And then there’s Bears KZ situation on top of that, which is straight up a criminal case.
I sometimes feel like they’ll come out with a statement like one of those early crypto scams: “our founder died unexpectedly” lol.
It’s sad and frustrating, so coping through humor is all that’s left.
Exactly the same for me , its been sitting in a Dutch distribution centre since Nov 8th.
I had to email spam them on every channel for 2 weeks straight for a reply , then i finally got an answer they’d look into it and give them a week. It’s been 2 weeks now and still nothing.
If they come up with an answer like you got i will lose my shit.
I don’t like conflict anymore, it’s not worth my while.
Everything is good on this side. I have my music, my family and my close buddies, getting called out isn’t something I can let get under my skin anymore
