I actually enjoy the BrainDance but the mids can lack some note weight which is probably the biggest issue I have. Really need tubes or that impedance adapter to open it up and make it sound fuller. But, it does take EQ/tubes/adapter really, really well.
But, yeah, I think it has similar treble energy to Cantor like on graphs so probably not gonna vibe with it.
Lower mid dip may be a prob but the treb is not the typical chaos .
I was completely confused by this graph. That’s why I did a vid of the graphing.
Will listen now
Yeah, that’s the first thing I tried doing. Only the left unit has this flex, right side seems to be okay regardless of the module. but its very minimal, not like a strong sound. it’s just like hearing someone removing a candy wrapper in the other room.
Strange😅 I assume the modules do the same as 64A ones? Venting? So maybe something in the problematic earbud slightly restricts the airflow to the module🤔
My logic is that the reason for no flex on the other module have to be that the total venting of air, (tubes and module), is big enough for the driver to not to be forced to flex.
Very interesting, and it’s just $49 apparently? That might be a gamechanger in the ultra budget headphone space.
They also have a second headphone coming, the Ellipse, with a 50mm driver, I was lukewarm when I saw it but if THIS is their headphone tuning then I’m excited for that one.
