Wait what are we congratulating Timmy on? Is this a streamers occasion?

He arm wrestled Crin…beat him.
Grabbed his lunch…ate it in front of him.
Proceeded to fire him from Hangout Audio and had him escorted off the premises by the police.
Crin is cool but Timmy is a Manimal.

What do you expect from a company that used an open source license to develop around Linux, then refused to release the source code as required under that dev license… scummy behaviour

Although I use that XBASS EQ, I don’t always use it.

Before I tried XBASS EQ, I expected this feature to make solid BASS sound.
However, it wasn’t until I bought Hip-dac3 that I noticed that this EQ had changed the sound to a bit Muddy with the overall increase of the BASS sound.
Compared to the XBASS EQ that went into the previous generation of Hip-dac1 and Hip-dac2, it makes a much higher quality sound, but I also use that EQ in only about a third of my playlist.

I think the exact sound I want is a product with a solid and fast BASS sound in an IEM composed of ALL BA.
And I think I prefer products that include DD or BC to help low-frequency BASS additionally in IEM that consists only of BA.

It’s true that I’m also satisfied with the current PUNCH. I’m just wondering if I can get a little closer to the sound I want.

Now, thanks to the information you gave me, I’m trying to lower the front and rear bands of the Kick BASS sound area with XBASS EQ on.

#2 just blows my mind.

Oh for sure. My first exposure to iems is from there and I got my first infos from there too. But nowadays there is just so much misinformations and people spouting nonsense there, which usually led to people making bad decisions and regret.

super stupid take this lmao. we dont need to be a chip or graphic card manufacturers or someone with degrees to know that stuff by intel nvidia amd would perform better than a random bootleg from aliexpress. I seriously dont mind custom drivers but be transparent about it and dont try to hide it behind marketing jargons and stuff. Customers deserve to know what they are getting for their hard earned money!

And the fact that nothing happens when you change the cable of the IEM is not always right.
Physically, it is true that the impedance changes depending on the material, length, thickness, and processing method of the cable, but a slight change in impedance does not mean that the sound differs dramatically.

But all the cables I have between $2 and $200 don’t all sound the same when I use the same IEM.
And 80% of the cables I have made my IEM collection sound very bad;;

There were a small number of cables that helped to enhance the individuality of the sound that the IEM had, but some became too neat and turned into boring sounds. And most inexpensive cables produce an unorganized sound. The teeth-clipping noise can get very severe, and it often pretty much eliminates the existence of a lowest BASS sound or a high-frequency sound.

I didn’t believe until I experienced that a really high-quality monocrystalline OCC copper wire from Japan of about $150 could make the teeth-clipping noise stronger than a pure silver cable from $50.

To sum up, I disagree that there is no sound difference in replacing the cable of the IEM.
The reason is that it’s a fact I’ve experienced to lower IEM sound quality further on most inexpensive cables, and it’s hard to find a cable that matches the unique personality of IEM.
That’s why IEM manufacturers, as well as the general consumer, prefer famous brands in the cable industry like EffectAudio or Voltex.

Anyways, what’s going on with Timmy? Did some shit go down between him and Crinacle?

No. It was a joke. Timmy isn’t going to take a persons sandwich :sandwich: then eat it in front of them. I have to type this is wild.

I hear you! Cables can actually shape the sound. Some definitely make things better, while others just muddy things up. I guess it’s all about finding that perfect match. Have you found any cable that makes a huge difference in your setup, or is it mostly trial and error?

He is making it out like listing out transparencies is a task tougher than making the product itself. and the view they seem to have of consumers is baffling…yea i get it not everyone is a genius regarding every matter but they certainly can make out good from bad atleast with the help of a community. People need to know what it is that they are paying their money for regardless of if they can decipher it or not otherwise its just like any other fraud. If the same thing was done regarding food then it would be a big scandal.

Honestly yes reddit does give out some golden nuggets of info but that golden nugget is usually stuffed inbetween a heap of excrement more often than not

As I explained, most of them failed to match.
I tried matching other cables to PUNCH, but the quality of the cables I currently have didn’t lead the sound of PUNCH better in the direction I wanted.
To be honest, if I take the expected value of replacing the cable at any cost, it’s too expensive and worse than dampering the IEM nozzle. Cables for IEM don’t have common measurements like FR graphs, and even if I found a cable that produced a good sound, I have to be fully aware of the probability that it might be too heavy or difficult to handle.

I know that, and the reason I’m trying to replace these cables is that after trying a lot, I can distinguish some of the sounds that can and cannot be switched to cables.

And I owned all the earphones except Orchestra and Orchestra Lite from Kiwiears. The cable that’s included in all Kiwiears products that I’ve used is not of that good quality.
PUNCH’s cables don’t look too bad than previously released ones, I’m trying to make an additional investment to bring the products I’ve already purchased closer to the sound I want the most.

Tbh. Picturing Timmy snatching a sandwich out Crin’s hands and then eating it, is absolutely hilarious.

Also, Holy manimal reference!
