Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

Is it my Autism?
Because that makes no sense to me.

You must think Canjam’s are bias building events ( I sure do…so we agree)

That’s it right there…yeah?..the whole thing…right…there.

More stuff so can release more of the honesty

We can agree to disagree and skip the politics that are inside the tour groups themselves.
Heads of tours threatening to destroy a persons career because the left a bad review and said not taking it down threatened to break a relationship and lose samples from a company.

That song was one I loved as a kid. ZOMBIE got a lot of love but…
Linger was full heart pouring out
very belated R.I.P

For some reason I thought Tiny Desk started during Covid.

I’m attending CanJam London this year because, living in The Netherlands, it’s the only opportunity to demo a lot of the stuff available (we have three specialised stores over here and they carry only a fraction of what is available, though the selection is top notch). I’m definitely going to be attentive to the sort of thing you described now.

This this is why I never believe that cable changes sound. For comfort or matching iem/hp with cable is fine. Another thing most things in life has pros & cons but cable sniffers always say that cable only improves iems, it never downgrades anything. I’m sorry I lost all respect for you, and I don’t believe anything, anything you say. At that point you are just a clown for the company.

Tour group… hell no.

We do share iems between us discord folks. But it’s not really tour since every iem is a retail set that bought with real money. Otherwise we won’t het any chance to try anything.

I understand that. Unless someone lives in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore or Shenzen. It’s all trust us bro. I’d go to Canjam under those circumstances too✅

Reality sucks if you’re stupid yeah

If the internal wiring is static how the hell is an expensive cable helping?

It’s a bottleneck

It’s a shameless hustle run by scammers and people who have lost their goddamnen minds

Man this SG Canjam some brands showcased IEMs worth 9K USD. People are drooling over it. I mean seriously that’s a hugeeeeeeeeee amount of money for a single pair.

I heard it’s not that great. Sounds like the “X” but it’s 5 types of drivers and has a cool cap.
$9k? GTFOH.
My Traillii Ti cost about the same but it was just a bragging version for original Traillii owners like myself.
The only new developing tech is the Mems but it’s still in the early stages and I don’t wanna pay anymore for beta testing. Very good set though

If autism have something to do with how we understand this or not I don’t know, but it is something I do believe also. Most people defend their purchases whatever their faults should be, IEM’s, cars, vacations or whatever😅. When a lot of money is spent on a given thing, you don’t want your friends or the whole world laughing at you and saying that it wasn’t worth the money spent.

I find this to be true in many things and people, but I’ve certainly gotten to a point where I don’t care; the same people who roll their eyes at my audio purchases are the ones that are Sneakerheads, or endlessly buy board games or whatever their hobbies are. I feel like it’s a key point of maturity to stop worrying about what people think about spending on hobbies as long as you aren’t putting yourself in the poorhouse to support them. There’s also a propensity for lots of people to need to shout to the world about their purchases and hobbies all of the time, which leads to lots of digging for external validation. When someone can keep it personal and only indulge others in same-said hobby or when asked, they will spend less time worrying about how they are perceived. That’s how it’s been in my experience, anyway.

I actually think it’s Autism then.

I don’t care what strangers think about my rationale in a subjective dominant hobby.
Bought the 64 audio U18 and was enraged…shared that in a vid i did quickly. Felt like I was hustled.
Nothing is worth $5000 but it sounded audibly less impressive than the U12t.
I have to buy TOTL because Musicteck felt like I burned Unique Melody and spread the word.

I am not to be trusted handling expensive gear with any kind of etiquette. A Person on Whatsapp shared that with me. I’m proud as fuck about that

Fuck a strangers opinion.
Definitely aspergers I guess

Yeah, maybe this is maturity.

I think it’s normal.
I don’t judge folks who buy expensive watches and they don’t care what I think anyway. It’s their happiness. Not mine

Yeah, it’s wild how far up the price ladder things have gone lately. $9K for a pair of IEMs is deep into “luxury flex” territory more than anything else. At that point, you’re paying for exclusivity, boutique materials, and maybe some marginal sonic refinement…but I am guessing the law of diminishing returns hits hard. Can’t blame people for drooling out of curiosity, but man, that kind of price tag just feels surreal. You could build an entire endgame collection for less than that one set.

Absolutely nailed it. Everyone has their “thing,” whether it’s sneakers, watches, cars you name it. But for some reason, audio still gets that side-eye from people who don’t get it but i guess its not as bad as sneakers I am guilty of having judged heavily. The real shift happens when you realize you don’t need to justify your passion to anyone. If it brings you joy and you’re being responsible about it, that’s all that matters. And yeah, there’s a big difference between enjoying something for yourself and needing constant validation from others. Keeping it lowkey and genuine often leads to a deeper appreciation anyway. Well said
