Cancer is a bitch. My mom had half her colon removed a few months ago, luckily no chemo required and shes well on the road to recovery. Glad your wife’s surgery was successful, wishing her health and happiness!
Oh crap… That health shit puts everything into true perspective don’t it.
Wishing your other half a swift and permanent recovery.
My wife died in January (alzheimer’s) so I know how this stuff can totally knock your life off balance.
As you say, time to move on with the important stuff.
Hope Mrs HBB is on the mend… glad the surgery went well.
Cancer is an absolute bitch… but puts everything else in perspective whilst being a motivation and mental anchor.
Moved countries to be able to care for my mother through multiple skin, breast, lymph and thyroid cancers + surgeries over the last 2-3 years.
Recovery is so hard on everyone involved - sending my thoughts and well wishes. Try to keep positive chap.
My sincere condolences.
Those words I type don’t meet the weight of reality, but I mean it.
If you ever need anything that I can be of help with, let me know.
R.I.P
My Mom died of Cancer and her Mom (My Grandmother) also. I was scared it was my side that might be a burden or increase chances for Kai. It may be but she had a skin growth that was Cancer and now Thyroid. It appears everyhing went well and there is no lingering issue but we got shocked outta “Watch Kai growup” for a bit.
I hope you and Mom… the ups are long and downs are brief.
My condolences. I know how hard Alzheimers is on relatives. I’ve been through it twice. The words of a random internet stranger might not be worth much, but hang in there. Talk about her, keep her memory alive. That helped for me.
That’s a relief. Make sure to follow up on the recovery and regular check-ups.
My uncle didn’t do that after he was treated for skin cancer. 10 years later, a small remnant got into his lungs. He died that same year.
Thank you good sir. I’ll accept that in the genuine sincerity with which it was given .
Last 6 years have been a real trial, what with caring for my wife, looking out for my elderly father (who died in the summer of '23) plus holding down a full time job. Chuck Covid into that mix and I’m surprised I’m still sane.
Funny thing is, for her, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.
Still, life goes on and she lives on in my memories.
Make as many of those with your young family, they are very precious.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Its one bitch of a condition I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
To go through it once was tough enough so my sympathies for having to face that twice
No chance she’ll get forgotten… Loved her with every fibre of my being.
Right??? Even from a marketing perspective, “custom Knowles/Sonion BA drivers” sounds a lot better than just “custom BA drivers”.
mrs HBB
Ooooh my wife is from there! The sweets are amazing!!
I wish your wife good health! May every day bring strength and the disease go away irrevocably!
My sincere condolences.
Figured it was Quantum.
Yeah, probably better to move on and just… Let it go so to speak. I do like Quantum. Speaking as a fan of their tuning, it’s probably one of the better planar out there. Basically a bassier S15 with more treble without it being harsh. But, yeah, I was… Definitely eyeing everything like I don’t know what to expect, figured it’d be an expensive lesson to report on at worse.
Everyone that doesn’t want to support should definitely ignore the release. For the others that still wanna pick up from them, it does look like they have, actually, figured out some things.
Quantum batch 1 ended up selling out (from both them in person at Singapore and online) and they look like they’re actually going to do it in batch orders. Hopefully that keeps up but will see!
Also, huge congrats on the better half’s surgery going well, man. Wishing her a speedy recovery as well!
Sorry for your loss, sir. Health, mental and physical, really just puts things in perspective sometimes.
hope for your wife’s speedy Recovery. nothing is more important than Family.
Glad to know the surgery was successful. Hope She gets better soon. Prayers and positive vibes to your family !! Cancer is a b*tch… ( I work in the healthcare industry and have had family get cancer too, so I know both sides and the whole thing is a lot…)
I’m really glad to hear your partner came through the surgery okay…can’t even imagine the weight of carrying all that at once. Major respect for keeping it together through it all.
And yeah, you’re right. Business is business…cold, transactional, and sometimes thankless. But your perspective? That core of music-first, staying grounded in why we even get into this hobby in the first place…that’s real. That’s the part that matters. The rest? Just noise. Let the market sort itself out. You’re bringing heart to a space that needs it, and honestly, people feel that.
I’m so sorry to hear that, man. That kind of loss…there’s nothing that really prepares you for it. Wishing you strength and peace as you keep moving forward. And yeah, here’s to holding onto the important stuff and letting the rest fall where it may.
Glad to hear Quantum delivers and your comparison to a bassier S15 with more treble (without harshness) actually sounds kinda ideal for what am looking to explore. If they’ve genuinely tightened up their process and are going the batch route now, that’s a promising sign. Fingers crossed they stay on track and let the gear speak for itself from here on out. At the end of the day, I think it’s fair for people to choose how they engage…whether that’s walking away or giving it another shot. No one’s wrong in how they feel. Just hoping the lessons stick and the focus stays on the music.
