Love to see an iem with a cable that costs 10x that of the iem.
That reminds me, I spoke about Hakugei providing decent cs. I actually have new example of what I consider correct cs. I ordered 2 cables from him during the sale. Instead of sticking his thumbs up his ass like many others do, he contacts me to say that there is a problem. His engraving tool for L & R markings is broken. So he offers me to just notch the hardware a bit to tell them apart, or wait until he gets a new tool.
I told him to give them a notch and ship them out.
I got them today. He didnāt just notch them, but made a nice engraving all the way around so it still looks nice.
Pro-active communication and overproviding. That is what I call decent cs. (also, he sends a pic of the actual items and package to you before shipping)

Johnny really saved this song by covering it. Neil Young makes great music, but man do I hate his voice. And its not just Johnnyās voice that makes this cover better than the original. By removing the harmonica and just having a electric guitar and accoustic guitar battling it out with some tasteful drums in the back is just genius. It gives the song so much more impact.
Same story with Hurt. By keeping his cadence slow, slightly monotone and modest it just rends your soul. I donāt feel the same way with Trent Reznors original.

On the flip side, I only ever bought once from hakugei and the cable I got had the wrong polarity on one side. I had just finished a prototype of mine and really freaked out thinking I built it out of phase, but turns out it was just the cable. So that kinda soured things for me and I never went back to them.
Truthfully, I donāt recall if I contacted them about it, so I canāt speak for their actual CS, only my QC experience.

Fuck ups can happen (even if they shouldnāt). As long a someone fixes their mistake, Iām good.

my experience with linsoul was surprisingly ok. just a pain in ass that they keep making me take vids eventho its already clear that the iem was failing. but its all good in the end and i got my replacements free of charge

I would say those are difficult topics about the hobby but its still the hobby. In context of bigger priorities like health and family its just irrelevant for many, me including.
Companies will always try to sell and there will always be some willing to do anything regardless of moral values.
My preference is to buy from manufacturers directly and ideally know more about the company and faces behind but that is extremely difficult in chifi.
Would I avoid companies that make shady stuff like mentioned above? I will think twice now but if they are only option to get a product I want I would probably pick it up. Unless the controversy is too big.
There are always alternative options so one would need to go extra mile to avoid it and maybe drop.more cash on it. Plus the hype volume is just crazy.
