Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

:sweat_smile::sweat_smile: I’ve tried martilo. It’s not as good as Kiwi punch for me. The treble needs a lot more work. Also Punch sound smooth yet detailed to me. Kiwi punch is still my fav under 400. Crin’s planar have to wait till black Friday.

Not necessarily looking for a upgrade or anything. I’ve already tried the martilo, aegis , & legion. Didn’t like any of em. Upper mids & lower treble didn’t sound right to my ears. For all-rounder Top pro & tea pro is still king

Good ear.

That Magnetostatic stuff sounds like total ass.

Can’t believe it got hyped up.

I mean…I TOTALLY get why folks passing free stuff around gassed it but the SQ was

This felt good

I gave up on this one long time ago. Got a sudden contact saying that they know I was waiting a few months. Bruh it was 2 years. If it was ready I would’ve paid and moved on to excitement. Instead it was a ā€œif my supply chain is good should be end of next week how do you want to pay ā€œ

Shove that up your ass cuz.

After 2 years you couldn’t make it THEN reach out? Yeah fuck off

The round mini planar? Absolutely loving 6mm one in my full planar + mini planar hybrid tangzu wu Legend edition. Linear treble, zero dips or peaks, stadium stage, zero sharpness despite energy. I hated OG Wu and S12 Pro sibilant lower treble where I couldn’t listen to them without a -5 dB at 8 khz.

Zero issues with sibilance on wu legend, + no drop around 10-11khz (and it graphs without one).

3dB bass-boost for the win and it is one of my most enjoyable sets overall for the last year.

The magnetostatic driver ? That’s like a DD hybrid instead of a typical planar.

Hmm, then i’m not sure it’s the same as round micro planar. Tangzu never marketed it as magnetostatic. Is it the driver that also sometimes get marketed as single EST?

I believe so. I have a gif of one in motion on another pc. It’s like a DDish in that animation. I will try to find it when I get time. It’s def not a straight up typical planar like an S12 or the like

Did it sound rough or something in Legion?

Sounds veiled. Kind of like a low quality mp3 vs a good lossless file. It’s audible and not in a good way to my ears with my library.

Several tracks from RUMOURS (Never Goin back Again, The Chain, Go your own way, Songbird) to be specific

Maybe it’s only good as a supporting driver to BA or others. And in legion it’s mostly alone in the treble. Kind of like sonion est are too lightweight and wispy on their own.

3rd month… I’ve had custom iems made faster for me during 2021 covid.

Some users on headfi posted unboxing and it’s :fire: though. And the graph by aaf evo is bonkers. I’m not paying 5k for BA bass though. It’s gotten better but doesn’t rival cinematic dd rumble.

Seems like they are staggering the release or sumthin Musictek has some, Elise did not as of yesterday. SEA not sure. For the price and the wait the customers should be treated better.

Send to authorized sellers with a release date so everyone gets served.

My $5000+ is worth just as much as a dude who bought in Jersey.

There’s a lot of waffle and esoteric words in their description of the technology and sound quality, I am very sceptical of their claims

I’ve litteraly never heard a great set that has that driver type.

just completely skip them now if they are in a set

Just acquired these little beauties. Cracking sound. Currently listening to my UNKLE playlist and they are smashing it. Only had them on for an hour, so I can’t wait until they’re run in. Ā£50 well spent. Just go to find a balanced cable for them.

I’d say that’s a fair assessment. Even the best quality BA bass isn’t as satisfying as a well done DD low, and the 752B is no different there. I do find the bass very good though regardless but I have to have a set with DD lows as well for when I want that more rounded and fuller bottom end.

Did you have a listen to thieaudio V16 by any chance? I“d be having a very hard time discerning its bass from DD bass in a blind test
