Has anyone recommended the kz zs10 pro yet? I think they have excellent bass.
These are old news, there are many new chi-fi models. Something with decent bass could be the Trn V90, around 30 USD in AliExpress. Blon bl03 has also decent bass for 25/30 USD.
I just tried the kz zs10 pros and wow I was really impressed with the sound. I really am looking for that type of sound, but better, with a lot more bass as well. My main issue with the ZS10 Pro is the lack of bass.
Do you think the OH1’s will work? The OH10’s are more expensive. I was also looking at the FA7 and FH5 based on well. Zeos. Lol
These have great sound but to me they are what should be standard levels of bass in every IEM (in my oddball opinion apparently), not extra.
Although a lot of people consider Zs10 to be bassy because they are used to (and prefer) brighter headphones.
But ZS10 just arent a basshead iem. They are more like a basshead iem for people who arent bassheads (yet). Lol. More like a starting point maybe.
They have amazing sound otherwise though and I was head over heels for the rest of the sound in ZS10 pros. I would love to pay more and get everything ZS10 does, but better, and more bass.
If your looking for a dupe for monster beats, those sonys are def it. Ive owned both, and as you can tell from the colors on this, monster beats is what this headphone was attempting to dupe, and the sound signature is very similar in my opinion. They arent quite as good, but practically identical to the monsters.
A lot of audiophiles hate beats because they are overpriced for their quality (how significant that gap is depends on the beats headphone/iem) and you generally pay more for brand name and hype. They actually do make some real basshead iems and the sound signature on the good models (not the complete shit ones) is engineered for rap/hip hop and performs well in that area.
Then theres people who like electrostatic quailty with no bass at all out a headphone and think that the KZ ZS10 is a basshead Iem, which, in my opinion, its level of bass should be standard… I absolutely adore the sound of KZ ZS10’s and they are in the same price range of these sony’s, but they are not going to pack as much punch these Sony’s, and I don’t consider ZS10/ZS10 pro a basshead Iem (as a basshead).
With all that said, im 90% sure these Sony ones are the same ones I owned, I am no longer using them, so I cant double check for you. I am 90% sure.
As far as other cheaper alternatives and general sub-100, I have heard things about the TFZ No. 3 for a higher detail bass headphone, the Opera OM1 for insane psychotic bass for really cheap (supposedly), the RHA t10i which are now $80 if you buy them renewed.
All ones you might want to look into, depending on whether you want all bass, cheaper/slightly more pricey, punchy bass, sub bass, detail, yada yada yada.
Also Zeos says the 1more Triple Drivers pack a lot of bass in his videos and hi-fi guides. Not sure what his idea of “basshead” is though, i havnt tried these myself. Being triple driver they will probably pack more detail then those Sony’s almost guaranteed. I would check them out.
Right now I am looking for a nicer bassy iem with armature detail. So im looking at a higher price range myself. Thinking about trying the ikko OH1’s, FH5 or FA7. I don’t have a clue how bassy they actually are though.
Don’t bother buying iems with built in wireless unless you really like the IEMs. I bought used powerbeats 3 for $50 and they punch like hell but the quality is not there because they use a shit bluetooth codec. I mean, they will sound equivalant to those Sony’s you posted detail wise. Wired monster beats are cheaper and will give you powerbeats with no lossy crap bluetooth codec and are better then both of those options, but more expensive then Sonys. If you must buy built in wireless or “wired wireless” then make sure they go all the way up to LDAC codec or the quality loss ruins the experience no matter how much bass the iem packs in my opinion.
Only way in my mind to do wireless, is to buy fiio btr3 or btr5 with a good quality wired headphone. You can also buy the ones that attach to ear peices with detachable cables but why bother? Spend the extra 40 bucks, get the BTR3 and now you have wireless LDAC that works on every single wire headphone there is.
Then again when your on a budget and you really want wireless, buying a “whole package” iem might be for you.
Check out this video:
So you are looking for something similar to the sound of the KZ ZS10 Pro but with possibly better detail and more bass? What exactly are you looking for that would be different to these and what is your budget?
For ‘brain massage’ levels of bass, I definitely recommend the TFZ no.3.
They seem to have a lot of bass to me, but I only have Sennheiser’s to compare them to, so that’s probably why they seem like they have a lot of bass to me.
I bought this on AliExpress several weeks ago and really not sure when they’ll arrive. Budget bass cannons, I INTO i8. Someone on Amazon is selling them for about $20 as well.

My dad was looking to buy his first decent set of IEMs so I gave him a brief intro to chi-fi. I let him listen to my BLON and my Shozy 1.1 and he was very impressed with both. Good bass was the most important sound factor he was looking for. After reading up on a few things (including this thread) and deciding on a budget he ended up pulling the trigger on the Jade Audio EA3. I’m hoping he will really enjoy them! I’ll give them a listen too when I get the chance.
Best bass iem under $2000?
CF Atlas or secondhand Vega’s…The Atlas is now on sale for $899 at CF and I got my mint Vega’s sh for circa $620 they are a stupidly fun sounding IEM with wicked bass and sub bass…
Would you recommend the campfires over the ier z1r for bass?
Sorry I’ve not heard the Z1R but I think a couple of guys on here can give you an A B with the Campfire sets?.. I was hoping to Demo the Z1R’s at this years UK CanJam but that’s been rolled over to next year because of you know what, I think it’s a Defo try before buy set due to it’s size though.
I can’t A B them, but I did use the Z1R quite a bit and I auditioned the Vega. I don’t think the Z1R has bass head level amount of bass. I remember the Vega having more bass quantity. The Z1R has a balanced sound imo and I am not talking neutral. It has like the perfect amount of highs and bass with a ever so slight dip in the mids but still sounds very good. I can’t comment on the Vega sound signature as much anymore, but I remember being totally fine owning both the Andromeda and Vega. Andromeda being more neutral sounding, but still engaging. Vega had a really engaging sound, but with definitely more in terms of bass quantity. I actually preferred the Vega over the Atlas. I think the best IEM for bass under 2k though might be the Empire Ears Legend X when they are on sale. They have 20% off for universal and 15% off for customs at certain times of the year. I can comment more later as I am getting the Legend X in a couple weeks…hopefully.
Edit: Haven’t tried, but Z1R with bass boost on a iFi Micro iDSD BL might be really fun to listen to
and the Vega (not really needed tbh) is mad, the sub bass on James Blake’s - Limit to your love actually sounds like a real subwoofer inside your head lol…
I’d would agree about the Z1R from what I’ve read, it’s good all round and not targeted at bassheads as such…I was going to add the EE LX but it seems to be out of stock at the mo…has it been replaced by the ODIN…or something else on the way?
Unsure, but it takes about 2-3 more weeks to make than usual from the time I ordered it like early July. They could be backed up quite a bit right now.
Edit: Looks like you can still order them but there is a wait time. I did the custom one.
is what I picked up looking for Bass leaning IEM’'s
you might want to look at the hyla sardas. It is what i currently use incredible bass, very tight and clean and digs really deep. they are pretty sensitive similar to the andros in that regard so you probably want a good source for it
