i forgot to say that i have only the default sound card in the mobo (msi B450 GAMING PLUS MAX with Realtek ALC892 Codec), do i need an amp/dac or whatever its called?
With the mh751 or the gsp I donât think you really need one imo
thank you so much, now what should i pickâŚSennheiser GSP 300/mh 751/Sennheiser HD559
as this will determine my purchase right now
maybe a small comparison from you :))
hmmm i dont know man it seems it will break the moment i put it on my head
It looks that way but they are actually very well built for what they are. Very resilient believe it or not
Do I think if you want the best isolation from your environment along with the best mic quality, the gsp300 is for you imo. If you want a lighter clamp with a pretty good mic but great comfort the mh751 is for you. If you want good comfort and donât mind not having a mic the 559 is for you
Sound wise, I think the 559 is going to have the best soundstage and great imagining, that would be my pick for best performance (I didnât know it was available to you lol), and then if you want something thatâs still good but with isolation, the gsp is for you. The mh751 sits in the middle imo
so removing mic from the equation, the 559 is the best performer ?
For gaming I think that would be the case with your price restriction
and whatâs about general gaming sound experience ânon-directionalâ ? i mean general sound quality
Iâll chip in and just the the 559 to me sounds the best on the list.
So headphones may be good for music, but not for gaming. The headphone might have a signature that could mask certain spatial queues, it could have a presentation that makes some games confusing to tell where stuff is coming from, and more
Most headphones are actually just fine for casual gaming, but if you want something good for competitive or mainly gaming, you want something with good imaging and soundstage, good separation, and a neutral-bright signature imo
If you are broke and need something cheap the KSC75 is actually one of the best for gaming.
But if you want an actual headphone with a headband and everything, the Cooler Master MH751 or the 559 will be good.
And if you need a good microphone, there are better ones that are not attached to the headphones that just sit on a desk.
Like some of these:
I think you could get a Samson Q2U or a used snowball for a good mic imo
Snowball is really good from what I hear. I listen to some podcasters who really like it.
Itâs pretty decent for the price, but I wouldnât get any of the other blue USB mics (well I wouldnât recommend spending more than 50 bucks on a standalone USB mic for that matter)
hey guys Iâve purchased the hd 559 but it came with 6.35 mm jack, should i buy an adapter or cable for it or is there something else i am missing?
Iâm surprised that it didnât come with a 6.3 to 3.5 adapter, but you would want to get something like this
yeah I decided to look at the listing on Amazon because I was surprised too⌠apparently it doesnât. haha
Would you say the GSP 300 is better than the M50x? I can get the GSP 300 for a really good price here but I never thought of them as noone talks about them and there are no freq graphs.
I think they are a bit warm and have the senn house sound, and are more comfortable than the m50x, and have a pretty nice mic imo. I think the m50x has more detail. I think the m50x is the technically superior headphone but the 300 ainât bad imo for what you get
