not sure if you saw thisā¦ free shipping to Canada as far as I can tell
Canāt wait to audition theseā¦ waiting on them to come in. Currently been sitting with the Amiron Home and not sure how I feel about it in comparison to the DT 1990s they really are similar headphones.
wellā¦ I just pulled the trigger only to find out no shipping to Canada sooo that sucks
thatās pretty cool but Iām trying to avoid US businesses for a little while due to cross border shipping difficulties and the exchange rate.
Oh no! that sucks.
its all good, ill just try the 990 for nowā¦ really enjoying Beyers on tubes lately
lol better use a tube setup that reduces that treble
yup tubes are a game changer for Beyers (all 2 ive heard lol) imoā¦ I have a darkvoice right now and bottlehead crack on the way
Dunno bout that with the 1990s and tubesā¦ but yeah common knowledge for 880s and 990s
yeah you donāt hear to often the 1990 or 1770 mentioned with tubesā¦ but that said I like the 770 on the darkvoice which I havenāt heard much eitherā¦ idk ill keep climbing the ladder and see how it goes
Thats curiousā¦ if you decide to run a 1990 on tube and you find it better let me know on that one. I do know that tube amps can fix Amiron Home which sounds just like the 1990 but warmer the issue with amiron is it suffers from the S sound and some sibilanceā¦ dialing back that treble makes it great.
honestly ill probably skip all the 250 ohm models and just grab the 990 and eventually the t1 but if that changes ill be sure to give my impressions
I did like the 990 its just that it was a bit sharp for my taste a bit too brightā¦ 1990 straightened that out and amiron is the one i am testing now which is a welcome changeā¦ heard very good things about T1 though So I am hoping to see some good results from auditioning itā¦ especially since I havenāt fully bought my copy yet from beyer of the 1990 so if the T1 Is found better than 1990 I will just buy the T1 lol. I would buy the Amiron personally but I feel it does need a tube amp to really be proficient and Tube Amps donāt work for every headphone so provided T1 measures up and is okay with a good jack of all trades amp, in this case Asgard 3, I think itll be alright.
From my experience the amiron is meh on a tube, generally personally not a fan of that over like a 1990 or t1. The 1990 does take to an otl fairly well. And most all the Beyerās do fine on a transformer coupled amp
Apologies if this has already been answeredā¦ Are there any sonic differences between the gray T1.2 and the T1.2 Ninja Edition, or is it just aesthetic?
From what I know no not really
Funny not a headphone guy but iād really like to listen to the T1 first genā¦I like treble?
after some haggling ive aquired a pretty nice deal on eBay but before I buy im just curious what you get here over a dt880 for the extra $700 ish msrp?
Going by what I hear on that one so eh? Subjective. As far as amiron is concerned you definitely want something to straighten out that treble peak cause it is definitely on that area of being uncomfortable. Good to know they do respond to something at leastā¦
I finally got the confirmation that my T1 will arrive wednesday. Backorders are hell on beyer products right now it seems. Glad I finally get to sit down with this headphone as I have auditioned the 1990s, amirons, and 1770/177x. Really interested in these as I want to see which I prefer more. These or the 1990s.
