Be careful so it isnt the regular K11.
lol nah I know, I’ll be extra careful
All i saw on amazon was l30 v2. It has 4.4 and 6.x. my iems are 4.4 and the 3.5. Getting back to the dynaquattro i plan to use it for my pc, eapecially since i found on my ka17 i have to have at full volume high gain to get decent sound. My 61t sound great listening in bed or in recliner and i sometimes switch to the tangzu heydays for a slightly more forward vocals.
So, using a plugin dac amp might be an acceptable solution. Is the l30 ii what you are referring to? Any other recs? Tha f11 r2r looks interesting, although i am not educated enough to know what r2r is…resistor to resistor? How is that different.
One quick thing that irks me is in this audio stuff amazon isnt showing year produced…makes it hard to know if it is new or old tech. Not that newer is always better, but with no place to go try stuff and having to blind buy knowing the year would be helpful. Guess i will just watch a few more reviews, read forums, and hope yall comment!
L30 lineup is just an AMP, does not have a DAC so you would need a separate DAC for it. The Fiio K11 lineup has a dac AND AMP so that is an all in one kit. I wouldnt recommend the R2R version for a newbie as it isnt going for a reference sound (has upper-treble roll-off afaik).
The regular K11 would be better for you. When it comes to sources, newer doesnt really mean anything as you just want it to measure well. Although you dont have too many options if you want a dac& kit in one.
Binary Dynaquattro also happened to me.
I’m very impressed. I completely agree with the review of @ ToneDeafMonk and Honest, the bass is great, the midrange is in place and the treble is bright but not flashy.
It’s true that it favors female vocals more, but male vocals also sound good.
What captivates me is the linearity, whether I listen to music quietly, medium or loud, the dynaquattro presents the sound at the same level and nothing goes out of line.
Estrella forces you to listen at a higher volume here. Beautiful color in dynaquattro, which EM6L, Supermix 4, Estrella, KE4 do not have. Yes, the bass is good in all - bigger or smaller - but the treble, here Dynaquattro has a great advantage for me.
There is no PZT or BA tone, no hiss, no thin timbre, in dynaquattro it is smooth and beautiful. This is what annoyed me about other IEMs and made me decide to only look for DD. I don’t know the range above $300, so I can’t say how these transducers behave in more expensive models, but with the ones I tested there was this thin treble sound.
To make things more colorful, the size is medium/large and it can be felt in the ears, so if it hurts me during longer listening, I don’t know what other IEM I can find in a smaller size that sounds as good organically and linearly as the Dynaquattro.
I wanted to change the cable to another one, because the original one is quite hard and I prefer a completely soft 4-core cable like Faaeal, openheart 0.78mm.
Unfortunately, when connected, these cables sit loosely in the sockets and can slide out on their own. Is this normal in Binary or does my pair have some larger slots?
Does anyone of you have a soft, proven 4-core cable that holds the socket better?
I just shot a video on cables the least expensive and best pairing was a NiceHCK Grey Dragon
Didn’t you have a problem with your IEM Dynaquattro? with a weakly held cable that is loose and falls out when gently pulled?
Hey there guys.
I have a favor to ask all of hou that might have heard the Dynaquattro and Penon Serial/Penon Quattro.
I recently hot the ISN H60 and I almost LOVE IT.
I love it’s bass and that the midbass is present.
However H60 is a bit too energetic for longer sessions to my ears, although I had it for only 4 days so maybe it will calm dawn a bit more.
However the thing I won’t be able to fix with tips/eq is the BA timbre.
I love my Sivga Que single DD beryllium coated darling. It being DD sounds just right.
So now that the black Friday deals are here and I get a second chance at buying cheaper.
I am considering DynaQuattro Penon Serial and Penon Quatrro.
As you may have noticed I’m a Penon Fan, had their Fan 3 and loved it, but sold it to get the H60 for better bass and dynamics, which i certainly got but Fan had better vocals imho, and I miss that a lot.
I think that going all dynamic is the way to go for me, the bone conduction is great as well.I’d love to try the new ISN EBC80 but that thing is 700$ which is too much for my current financial conditions.
I love good bass as long as it’s done right, I don’t mind a slight bleed into the lower mids. This can help male vocals sound grounded and rich. I also listen at low volumes a lot while working, so boosted low end helps here as well.
As there’s lot of iems came after DQ, what would be your opinion now? Should i go for it in this Black Friday occasion or theres other that satisfied the needs of DQ?
It’s still in my top faves box , But the Pula Anvil keeps pulling me away.
