and most people don’t want to buy stuff just to keep on returning them. Instead you want to be set, find a good headphone people recommend to make sure you will like it and baaam few days later hopefully sit around enjoying your headphones
oh there you go. think i misunderstood your words since you seem to be on the same boat of thinking
Bottomline for any hobbies and limited resources do your research .That will take time ,but it will take your investment even further. The price tag on any item is mainly there do to the hype or popularity of the brand .For example I got some fearless 6rui they run about 400$ ,and I got the blon03 .I’m more happy with the “cheap” blon03 than the fearless audio. My point is price doesn’t equate to quality.
True, though it does take more digging to find the diamond in the rough at the cheaper price points (sub $40-50). that’s not to say they don’t exist, but by sheer volume of how much is there, it’s harder to find.
But it takes just as much time and even more cash potentially to find the diamond for you at higher price points.
I’ll agree on the cash prospects, but it’s easier to locate where they should be, as the products that just suck typically don’t sell for long, or people become more willing to leave negative reviews.
I mean… M50’s…
The dude’s rockin’ $400-800 on headphones and DAP alone, so is it really?
Well I mean regardless of the price I would still want to ensure I got the best for my money
headphones 250 on amazon and ive found 50 dollar DAPs. He got them for christmas didn’t just buy them on a whim. I don’t know where you live but in my town there is NO ONE who even spends over 20 bucks on earphones at walmart. Obviously that has changed because of airpods (people here spending for audio) now but for many people 30 is either generally alot or alot for a earphone. Like mon said too he’s just trying to get the best for his money
@Chocolate_Bear Yup, I got them as a Christmas gift. My parents actually found the headphones for an extremely low sale price (around 100 new on Ebay I think), and the DAP was a gift as well via an Amazon gift card. With the kind of schedule I have, it would take me half a year if I was lucky to make that much money.
@M0N Pretty much.
@anon54878099 if you wondering, it is a Cowon Plenue D. Not the best, but not bad either. I got it for the battery life factor of 100 hrs lossy and 50 hrs lossless. I can’t stand short battery lives. I would rather have something slow and a little hard to use that runs forever, rather than something fast and easy to use that only lasts a day and maybe even sounds better. Just my taste though.
That’s a long time! i’m considering one too eventually in order to have more battery like you mentioned and just a dedicated music player.
Yeah, nowhere near the ease of use like the Fiio players, very slow processor, but I also use it at night listening to podcasts to help me fall asleep, and so it doesn’t die in the middle of the night like my iPod shuffle. Still, if I had a choice I would have the Fiio M11. But that is just a little more expensive.
I just dump all my music into one folder on it and shuffle, and I just skip until I find a song I am in the mood to listen to.
That’s exactly what I do with my entire library lol. It drives other people nuts
It does lol controlled chaos
Uh so I got the gunmetal version of these ones and apparently there is a version of this that is in solid brown color. Is it for real that the brown is much bassier than the silver ones? Same goes to the gunmetal version as well, since I think there are not much difference even with the different colors.
I don’t know that it’s something anyone’s bothered confirming for certain.
Right here we go, straight from the horses mouth, Silver or Brown…no fucking gunmetal ok lol
There are more then one company selling them, and some of them DO advertise a silver and gunmetal, not just silver and brown.
Surely if the “3 colour variants” are tuned differently then this should be stated?..maybe the colours refer to the sound sig…Gunmetal having a quick response an in ya face style, Brown laid back with an organic earthy timbre and the Silver being bright with a shimmering treble? lol
