Blon 03 hype thread

Mine came in the sack-cloth one with blue writing, it’s been thrown away as I didn’t use it.

Edit…i’m not sure which bags came with what batches?

The one z has is the canvas potato sac like bag. The on that was sent to me by massdrop is the silver velour one, and now apparently a black bag

How many different bags can they make lol

I’m pretty they are packeged at the same place they package the tfz one which leads me to believe they out source packaging or the factory that makes them makes them or tfz and blon make their iems in the same factory

Okay so I got these and they are making me frustrated.
Everyone said they have warmth and bass. But all I am hearing is upper mid and treble detail. There is no bass whatsoever!
What I will do is get the other brown/gunmetal color and see if that makes a difference in sound. Some said the silver was more detailed and the brown was more bassy. I just can’t stand the lack of bass. I will also get some foam tips and see if that helps the bass on either. Right now, yes they have amazing detail but they are harsh and lack bass to my ears. Am I going crazy? Or do some of these sound different depending on the manufacturer site?

we have been here debating a qc or batch issue as my gunmetal pair are very bassy what bag came with your pair?

I got the silver ones with this bag:

whoah that’s crazy to hear, those are my best iem for bass, and general groove. the trebble wasn’t lacking but it was pretty tamed in my pair. as ricegum said there is debate as to if there are differently tuned ones so i guess it’s possible

Ikr?! This seems so weird. If I’m completely honest I hear so much treble and sibilance, very harsh.
What tips are you using? Did the sound change with stock vs your tips?

I have the same bag i use mh 755 tips

man i wish i didn’t give my blons to my brother to send them to you to see the differences. and i honestly immediatley used the stock tips and it was already pretty bassy. with my foam tips there was better isolation and the bass felt tighter but no drastic difference

Mine are silver and are definitely warm, so something is just wrong with qc. I use dekoni tips with mine.

What I’m thinking now is it could be the tips more than anything. If I push them in more they sound warm and bassy for a minute, but it goes away as they come back out with the cruddy plastic tips. But I think I did hear what they should sound like for a minute. Only the smallest and longest tips were able to do this. When I had the other tips in, I think those were not going in very far and were not sealing, and maybe that’s why they sounded so harsh and hollow.
The wire I can deal with for now. It’s not horrible.
So I’ll get some foam tips that don’t come out and seal well. The ones I was looking at were these:

These also look good:

I don’t think any silicone tips would be worth looking into. They are very uncomfortable to me. So fit and the right tips may be the problem.

I don’t know man. No matter what tips you use I can’t imagine it would change the sound that drastically to hear treble. The thing is the blons really really really tame treble. Like alot where I can’t imagine any tip change or modification will change it that much

I think what happened was I didn’t have them in my ears at all with the bigger tips, so they were sitting outside and therefore sounded hollow. When I put on the smaller linger tips that came with them, I was able to fit them in my ear and actually sealed, and then they sounded how you described with good sub bass and warmth.

Oh interesting, well that’s good to hear at least

Yeah I think sometimes I can be too quick to judge lol.

Haha happens to everyone. Not to mention specifically in audio! It’s weird, when I first got the blons I was not even that into them. They sounded OK, but the more and more I played them they became my favorite IEM’s. It’s crazy

Just curious, if these are as good as everyone says, how do they compare to the TIN T4?

I think the t4 is a bit more refined and detailed, but TBH the blon gets close for the price
