Yeah, if you like IEMs, I would seriously recommend the Guideray Gr-i. Very comfortable and basically the whole package for only $50.
i’ll have to see if im only going to use IEMs on my laptop or use overears first… as well as if i use a DAC/AMP and stuff
For sure. Take your time, no need to rush any of this stuff. I like taking a long time to make decisions myself as well, I panic on anything where I have a time limit or something XD.
i just want to know because my birthday is in a week i dunno how much money i will get from that and i wanna get the perfect setup to do that…
my dream setup would probably be closed backs for my laptop, open backs for my turntable and IEMs or bluetooth IEMS for my phone… though i dunno since these over ear closed backs get pretty hot and a little on the tiring side
Yeah, that’s why I usually only use closed back when I need to not bother people or going out in public. IEMs are great for it too.
so thats not a problem with overears in general… ok nevermind maybe i’ll just use open back and maybe an IEM
Yeah, open headphones don’t really have a problem in my experience with getting too hot. Being open, they let air flow in and out, so you get circulation so heat gets moved away from your ears and let free out into the air.
except if the pads are too hot contacting your skin that the open part doesn’t help enough
How do the tin t4 compare to p1? Same kind of sound,?
Pretty different. The P1 is more midrange focused with an intimate stage and aggressive detail and sound, also pretty power hungry, with a bit rolled off treble and bass. The t4 is a bit wider, more relaxed, and bright neutral I would say, not that hard to drive
Would you say the t4 or the shuoer tape would better accompany the ikko oh1 for use on the go? I may end up getting a decent amp for the desktop later, but as far as using on a player like the hiby r3.
I am personally not a fan of the tape, but the t4 is kinda a bit overpriced, I actually think if you wanted a tin iem, the better value would be the tin t2.
Would the t2 then be a good alternate with a different sound
I would say so yes, pretty quality overall imo
if you want something that many think is worth it and has a more agreeable signature than the t4 the moondrop starfields is something to consider.
Oh i plan on it still lol. Tax return!!!
it would be a safer buy plus during an ali express sale you can usually find them from $20 -$30
A couple goodies came in the mail today. Hiby r3 (got for cheaper than i could get a m6) and ikko oh1 (under 100$). May want some other tips, but it feels as uncomfortable as the final e3000 the first two days, so I’ll probably get used to them. Also have a moondrop kanas pro coming. If the two sound too similar, i can get rid of the one i like least.
But you guys got what i was looking for. These oh1 sound great and I’m sure all the ones recommended sound fantastic. Full headphones with this quality sound would have been a pretty penny.
Glad you like them!
What kind of tips are you looking for? Silicone? Foam? Hybrid? What size?
