I got used to the silicone ones with the e3000. With that being said, they aren’t terribly comfortable. I had purchased comply tips, but i just didn’t like the added bass they created for those. Don’t know if that’s the seal they got or not.
I haven’t tried a hybrid before as far as i know. To be fair most aftermarket tips are probably more comfy than stock.
I probably need small tips. Bigger ones feel like I’m stuffing my ear too full.
A stiffer foam might be nice. One that isn’t quite like an ear plug. Perhaps that is hybrid lol.
I’m open to all suggestions with tips. I also couldn’t find the nozzle measurement for one of those two i got. One was close to 5mm and not sure which one now.
You might really like some Symbio W or Spinfit tips. Those are good. I would look into those.
The ikko I-planet are also really nice if they fit your ear.
Are the i planet funky?
Dang, what a snag. I’m waiting for that R3 Pro to replace my Fiio X1 if/when it dies. Best of luck finding tips! That can be hard sometimes.
Got spiral dots and the i planet. Got small in both. The dots fit pretty good like the vocal tips that came with the oh1. The i planet feel like they are too big and they’re irritating in the ear. I do however love the premium feel of the i planet foam. I may keep both because the kanas pro will need something too. My ears will probably adapt to the feeling and it’s kinda nice being able to alter the sound a little by swapping tips. No matter what though, both are much much easier to put on than the ones that comes with the ikko.
If the I planet feel uncomfortable, you might like the Dekoni tips. They are a little softer and much more comfortable imo.
Glad those spiral dot worked for you!
I just found tonight that dampening the spiral dots with a little saliva seems to make a better seal? Is that a normal trick? The bass seems more like what reviewers for these iem say. Maybe it’s in my head lol, but the bass seems better now even a while after inserting them into my ears.
Well, you are creating a stronger seal, so it makes sense. The better the seal, the better the bass
if you can tell me how to stop my cat from chewing on IEM cables… i will totally go back to wired since the DAC on my phone is so aparently great (seeing as zeos basically said all bluetooth IEMs aren’t that good)… but i dunno how to stop my cat from chewing on my cables
Easy. Get rid of the cat lol
sadly i cant as i got other people who LIKE the cat… and im not putting IEMs in a case because why the hell would you do that when its inconvinient
also LG V35 or a bluetooth DAC
You can buy a repellant specifically for this. Google it, you can get them at Amazon
Yep, certain smells that cats really don’t like.
As far as the LGV35 or Bluetooth amp/dac, it depends. What’s the price on them? And remind me, do you have an amp or DAC already too?
i already own one and the other is 50 to 100 dollars
i dont have a DAC/AMP for my desktop but my V35 has a quad core DAC
I would say the DAC in the V35 is actually really good from what people have told me. I don’t think a bluetooth amp is necessary unless you need it to leave your phone or computer and walk around with the wire just connected to something smaller.
i just need to stop my cat from chewing every single thing in my room and see what IEMS would work well under 100 that have a decent amount of bass and mid but definitely more clarity
Do you have IEMs right now?
And your budget is under $100 now?
idk but i do have some truly wireless IEMs but i wonder if im not really getting good enough sound or something
also because i like spending money (if i get money soon)
zeos just tempted me with what he said about wireless earbuds
I would stay with wired if you can. If the cat is a problem, a bluetooth dac usually can clip right onto clothing so that the cat can’t reach it.
