California and 5 other states ban pc's idle comsumption. whats next

Basically gasoline cars are bad if you buy them and use them, EVs are bad if you don’t buy them (and don’t use them).

Though to be fair estimating operational pollution is difficult since it does need to factor in things like maintenance (or lack of), driving habits, and actual usage… among other things.

Absalitely fantastic way to fix this. Make it a gov entity instead of a private company so it doesn’t need profit. Privatized utilities is seriously one of my biggest gripes with California -.-

autoweek is communist? LOL

edit: those communists youre referring to also make those same batteries with coal power. not to mention ungodly tons of waste byproduct thats going to be around for about 10000 years. but no, youre right because you want to be. and children are always right, everyone knows that. that why they throw temper tantrums.

so…if you live in Cali, start hoarding high wattage PSU so u can corner the black market when the state borders close… LoL! :joy:

… you should probably stop doing that as soon as possible! Before other states stop taking new California refugees. As an Arizona resident I’m much more worried about my western boarder than my southern boarder… just say’n…

Honestly I don’t want a high wattage non 80+ gold min PSU. For what they usually charge for 1000+W PSU I am generally looking for platinum status min.

when all the sources dry up, beggars can’t be choosers, HaH!

Got to replace the prisioners from the weed trade with something to keep the MIC chuggin along. dept of the GPU enforcement agency.

Why dont states shutdown their borders to the pro-pandemics vice versa to determine which group is on the right side of history.

No they aren’t. This looks like just the nonsense fossil fuel industry propaganda that was debunked by the above proper scientific study, which did include vehicle production if you know how to read English. But I’m not prolonging this off-topic anymore, this was supposed to be about PCs.

Yes, please stop. This is getting stupid.

To be fair he is the op and can talk about whatever he wants to in his own thread, you all can choose not to respond/ engage, or start your own thread about the topic. Unless it’s an official thread people should stop caring so much when op’s go off topic in their own threads.

No need to be rude with the ‘if you know how to read english’ bs. Plenty of people in here who’s first language is not English.

I personally brought it off topic with my political bs, apologized and moved on.

Agreed. I just don’t like when the personal sniping starts. I would think this more elevated group can rise above that sort of thing. That’s all. I try to respect all opinions here. Moving on…

It would appear that this “ban” is a whole lot of nothing. More empty virtue signaling, perhaps. I just don’t see anything solid or beneficial in this. I will continue to watch this though and see how it develops.

Since this has turned into a political shitfest, I’d like to ask one question:

Boomers are by far the biggest complainers. However, it’s the Boomers’ lifetime of voting and large majority of voting population during their lifetime that has gotten us where we are. So my question: can all the Boomers just shut the fuck up?

No offense to Boomers. It’s just the way it is Boo :man_shrugging:

I hear as an Arizona resident you might not be able to live there in 20 years.

Turns out Arizona has always been uninhabitable. So we installed a 4MW nuclear reactor at the edge of town, AC in every car and building, pumped water into underground reservoirs, and irrigate the hell out of the desert. It is the absolutely definition of artificial existence. Mars colonization has nothing on us!

Yes but if the temp reaches 115F for too long planes can’t take off in Phoenix and everyone is trapped in the hell on earth… horrible truths you learn. I will gladly live in Alaska over Arizona any day, you can always wear more clothes, but there is a limit to how many you can remove.

Yes! Arizona is hell on earth. I recommend no one move here, ever again. For your own safety stay away. I will remain behind as tribute to the sun gods. May my firey death appease their wrath! :fire::fire::fire:

But yes, in all seriousness, at 120 the airports shut down. We call 115 “4th of July weekend”.

That’s what it was. Yea, I made the mistake of visiting my sister around Father’s Day one year so he could celebrate with both of his kids… my answer to her any time she asks if I will visit again is not in any month with a vowel in it.
