Actually, no the dt 990 pro 32 ohm are too expensive
I’ve really been liking the 371, and it’s a breeze to drive as well as it’s not really amp picky. It’s Harman neutral with a bit of a subbass boost, with good detail and a very well done signature. It has an average stage and average imaging, but it’s pretty refined for the price. I think the 770 80 ohm would have a better stage and better imaging, but the 371 would be better for it’s signature and cohesiveness
I’m sorry, but I have no clue what Harman neutral is
It’s a consumer sound signature but more refined. So think a bit of a slight u shape with a bit of recession in the mid-range in this particular case. The Harman curve was created as a study to come up of what the average inexperienced person perceives as neutral
I’d go dt770 80ohm over those two. Still own mine despite having better headphones. The dt770 will most likely last longer as well.
I haven’t heard the akg371/361 but as Mon said for all around music listening they are probably the better choice from wha I’ve seen.
For gaming and longevity dt770 80ohm.
I could agree with this, they are absolute tanks. But the 371 is actually pretty durable and well form my experience. But for this specific use case I am inclined to agree for pushing towards the dt770 80 ohm
But they’re both closed-back, aren’t they in a way or another slightly worse than the open back ones?
Not really, both open and closed back can be good for different reasons
I mean yes generally at the same price point open backs sound better but you don’t have an amp. The headphones being mentioned are better than the two you mentioned IMO.
At the price range you are looking at you are not going to have it all. Im assuming $150 usd for gaming but not bass light. I’m assuming drop.com is out of the question or I would suggest hd58x as well.
So… the x2’s are not as good as everyone says and the audio technica’s I mentioned don’t really seem all that great either
For what you are personally after I would say no
But between the dt 770 and the akg k371, the better one’s should be the dt 770’s
I would most likely say yeah as long as you go with the 80 ohm
Do they have a detachable cable?
Cause I will still need a mic
Or what kind of mic should I get?
No detachable cable, you would have to get a modmic or something like a lav mic and attach it to a cable
How much is the mod mic?
Cause it’s really expensive if that’s the price everywhere (it’s 80$ here)
Perhaps look for a cheaper usb desk mic?
There are some usb desk mics for less
I’ll look into them to see if they’re any good
