Can't choose between these 2

Marantz Pro Umpire may be worth a look. Is 60€ in Germany, not sure how prices are in the US.

I did find some desk mics for a decent price and people say they’re very good value for the price they’re at. I am talking about a company called trust if you happen to know it

I have a Samson Meteor, which is minorly picky about USB power, nothing a powered USB hub couldn’t fix.

My experience with Trust is limited to cheap backup keyboards and two mice (neither of those was better than 6/10). Not sure how their mics are.

Yeah, I’m not paying that much for a mic.

I’m using a Trust Spark(or what ever) 3.5mm, and it does the job for 8€ lol. Don’t know about the audio quality but every body seems to hear me just fine, build quality isn’t great tho. If you are using discord, then your mic will not matter anyway, because the application itself downgrades the audio.

Well, I seem to be in the minority here, but I still like the X2HR for gaming – less so for music, but I think for the genres you mentioned it is okay. I can vouch for the DT770 for a closed back, but I certainly prefer open when possible.

If you’re thinking about the AKG because of the removable cable: you realize they are weird cables the 361 is 2.5mm and the 371 is mini XLR. Bascially, I don’t think the V-moda mic will work with either of them without some sort of weird adapter.

Ok, so between the dt 770 pro 80 ohms and the fidelio x2hr’s , the better ones for my liking should be the dt 770’s ?

It’s a safe bet. Sounds like we, as a group, can reach consensus on that one.

Ok people, despite what you have told me, I still went with the fidelio’s, idk why, I just think like they’re a bit better for my personal liking.
I really appreciate you spending your time and helping me choose and just, generally, welcoming me in this community, you’re all really nice and helpful people.
Just one more thing, I still need a mic, do you think I should get the Vmoda Boom pro mic, or maybe that Trust usb desk mic?
Really appreciate the support, and thanks again!

Yeah sometimes you just gotta go against what everyone is telling you lol. Personally i dont like either so you cant go far wrong lol. I would have bought a 58x or a meze 99 anyway. but i dont game with headphones

I’ll be interested to hear your impressions on the X2HR. I do really like mine for gaming. And there is something about their design and looks that I really like too.

What’s the price difference in the mics, and how loud do you listen?

I believe Badseed tech mentions that leakage could be a problem with the Boom Pro, but I think you’d have to be really cranking it for that to be the case (but I never listen at crazy high levels).

The price is exactly the same. The Vmoda Boom mic is maybe 1 euro cheaper.
When I game, I usually have my headset set to around 30-40% volume, nothing more, but when I listen to music, I crank it all the way up. But then, if I’m listening to music at that volume, I’m not talking to anyone.

If you happen tom know any other mics for a reasonable price, you can let me know

I think if you haven’t experienced other headphones you will enjoy the X2. Especially if you listen to more pop/rap. I would go boom pro for simplicity but if where you game has little to no background noise usb would be fine. I had no issues with boom pro picking up noise from the headphone.

I game and have the wife watching tv and my dogs barking and the windows open so desk mics tend to pick up too much background noise unless you get a dynamic mic and have it right up next your mouth and in your face.

Umm, I’m in quite a pickle here. The Vmoda Boom pro mic is completely out of stock everywhere, can’t find it anywhere in Romania, amazon us, uk, de and on from ebay, they’ll arrive in june…
The hell do I do.
They should come back in jail in like one month (in Romania). Do I wait, or just get another mic?
I was thinking like one of those clip on mics, or maybe a usb desk mic?

Hello, Would the DT770 250Ohms work with this motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC ?

Thank you

Most likely yes, but in the future grabbing an amp would improve them further imo
