Incoming excited to try a XMEMS hybrid

damn…didnt see this one coming.
very interesting.
i see mems ‘‘revolution’’ coming when Creative Ace2 do use them for hybrid dd-xmems tws iem at 150$…and was very impress by this very part of performance, not so much by bass and i feel xmems need a bit more power to fully awake dynamic wise…
might be the solution!

oh…but its for gaming and audio visual purpose?

hum…still interesting product, perhaps a bit more niche audiophile wise…

nice share.

Such a killer combo the NiceHCK Himalaya and the Cayin Tube DAP N3 Ultra makes some killer music.

Mixing it up tonight with the PENON 10th and the New Shanling M5 Ultra
Another great DAP a less intense session than the Cayin.

Yo that explorer graph is looking HEAFTY in the bass, god damn. I didn’t think they were that bass heavy!

Have listened to it yet hoping it doesn’t drown out the mids and highs!

That’s probably going to be a high volume set.

Where most sets, you turn them up until the uppers get harsh, they will probably crank up until the bass is pounding.

If the highs don’t sound balanced, I’d keep going until you’re getting good mids/treble, then note how much bass you’re getting slapped with

That sounds dirty and exciting the way you phrased that!

Good, cause that’s how I meant it!

Listening to the AFUL Explorer 3 and trying to wrap my head around this one.

Now I am a big fan of lower pina gain tunings and non forward upper mids.

I keep thinking did the Explorer take it too far?

I find it doesn’t sound great or engaging on lower volumes only until you give it juice alot of juice before it comes alive.

Now the way I normally listen to music is med volume and find myself turning it up when a song comes on that I find engaging and want more of it louder.

With the Explorer 3 I find i need to turn up every song just to get engaged with the music and have it try and elicite emotion.

Good thing the top end is so relaxed it lets you dial it up without sibilance or shout but on bass heavy tracks its too unbalanced and never feels Hi-Res unless the volume dial is at 11oclock if that makes sense?

I would call this a chill set but not at volume all of the time.

How does everyone listen to a IEM like this and do you enjoy it?

What would you like to see in a future release from AFUL?

I listen to a set balanced like that expressly in the “I want to turn it up and have it be bass heavy and unbalanced” manner.

Like that would be my “I want to feel like I’m in the club getting face blasted by the sound” IEM. Definitely not the only set I’d own, but it’s great to be a flavor in the moment I want that kind of experience.

This sounds like how the Glamdring was for me sometimes. My only issue with the Glams is that planar for whatever reason does not hit me the same way as DD whatever it tries.

To me this is sounding more and more like a good tuning for high volume listening.

The Explorer 3 is the only IEM that has really impressed me this year so far.
L - tuning is not often found in the abundance of V,W,U…

I get the hype  it’s legit this Delci from Kefine is a absolute banger! $75 Kefine you did solid!

This is the tuning the Overpriced Origin should have done for $179

The Delci is the best $60 I’ve spent on Amazon in a long time.
