I’m curious how the i3 mk3 compare to Cadenza4

Beautiful pup TDM. I just got one myself and love him(yellow lab). If my hands weren’t shaky I’d post a pic

How is the Oriveti OH700VB in comparison to the Plunge Audio Unity?

They are very very different! Both in tuning and what they are trying to achieve. Unity is a monitor, tuned for both professional use and if you want neutrality as a consumer. The Olivetti is boldly tuned for fun and musicality.

I was looking for other IEMs that have a similar nozzle positioning as the Unity. I don’t know of any other IEMs that are following that same positioning.

Absolutely polar opposite tunings, Unity stage monitor ultra uncolored , brutally honest not musical

OH700VB Super musical warmer undertones with strong bass.

The Unity is unique, because Simon didn’t want to CNC machine his shells the only other way to get that kind of nozzle geometry was to Laser Powder bed nylon.

He has a few other tunings like I have a few of his 1DD and 4 Sonion BA versions and it is way more tuned to the Musical side.

He also has a 2 DD 2 Flat Diaphragm IEM

The Unity is geared to musicains and is doing so well for him it hard for Simonnto keep up, so everything else is on the back burner.

I asked Simon he was aloof to saying?

Another hit from HZSOUND, its the same IEM as the TinHiFi DUDU , with a better name, a amazing accessory package , and quality modular cable! $29 more than the DUDU BUT well worth it.

Oh:thinking:. That’s a problem:sweat_smile:. There are many different styles of nozzle angle and lengths, but as TDM says nobody makes anything with the same style as Simon/Plunge. Since Simon is busy I guess you’d have to offer a pair of Unity’s and have someone else build in that shell:sweat_smile::laughing:.

Hahaha. Yeah I think Simon/Plunge has paved the way in that department.

But isn’t the Orivetti somewhat using that same angle (up & in)? Or am I seeing something different? Sorry, I am just trying to understand.

I see it’s not the same material and the shell may not be the same configuration including the portion connected to the nozzle.

I am more interested in the nozzle angle.

Oriveti did a great job on the OH700VB but with resin the way you 3D print there is a limitation to the angle.

Thanks for the clarification.

I guess I will wait around, as I find the Unity’s nozzle to be a tad short for my ears, as the portion on the nozzle digs into my ear.

Interesting, there is literally nothing I am aware of that would prevent printing the nozzle in whatever orientation in the resin technologies
The only bummer may be that in some orientations it (nozzle) would be supported against rest of the shell which would make it harder to clean up.

If you look at som pictures of IEM’s when worn, I would say when in an average ear the 2-pin part is more or less at a 45 degree angle, so the nozzle would point more or less upwards. You would just have to try to be sure i guess😅
