Canuck Audioholics Anonymous CAA Reviews & Fun Banter

First listen , bouncy bass, specail sauce with the stage center focus with a very immersive 3D effect , full bodied mids and nicely controlled but extended highs.

That’s my first take on this set.

Another Chinese company without any class.

I posted a mini review on a DDHIFI cheap dongle, and I did a comparison to the only other one I had a Akliam PD3.

Now to me the DDHIFI offering was clearly better built and most importantly sounded better.

While not as full featured - missing a RGB Light, not as powerful, more expensive $39 vs $29

I didn’t expect the Owner of Akliam to message me on FB messages and ask me to remove my post.

I just did a year end video praising the PD5 and PD6 because I thought they were your best better for a inexpensive solution.

Some of these companies who give you products to review no charge samples this is what you get.

Sorry if you have mistaken me for a paid shill!

Anyone who thinks getting gear for free or discount doesn’t have any hitches think again you just don’t see the other side of some of these companies

Way to stand firm, TDM! F*ck these companies requiring good reviews.

You’ve put it perfectly—it really does feel like chasing butterflies sometimes! I can see how it becomes more about the experience and the joy of the hunt for those incremental improvements. It’s interesting that you mention the DDHIFI Nyx series standing out for value and sound, might be worth looking into. It’s great to hear insights from someone who’s been through the highs (and lows) of the cable world!

Nice, looking forward to the reviews. When is Dita Mecha getting a review?

Working on it tonight for another serious listen.

Kenneth - “SuperChonk” recommend 100+ hours of burn in. And that worked out while my cold beat the shit out of me and I didn’t want to listen to anything LOL.

It’s a beast normally I am not a fan of too forward uppermids but the bass shelf just makes it balance out.

Oh my oh my what a IEM
DITA Audio MECHA
 GOAT Build Quality with a Virtually Seamless Titanium Shell
:grinning: Fit & Finish DITA has seem to master
 A Churro Cable Worthy Of Fine Mexican Dining No Tangles and Lots Of Cinnamon and Sugar.
 Percussions, Drums Cello Vocals, the Mecca, does it all.
 Elevated mid’s done so very well, no Shoutiness, no Sibilance

:face_with_peeking_eye: That really cool case is really cool. But it’s just too damn small, like way too small.
:face_with_peeking_eye: Okay, neutral heads, look away. Look away, divert your eyes.
:face_with_peeking_eye: If you listen to your music at relatively low to mid volumes, I would suggest that. You don’t pick this one up. This one likes to be listened at louder volumes.

I thought this sentence would end the opposite way when you said elevated mids! Haven’t watched the video yet.

$900 for a single DD… I’D take the Twilight or in the cheap segment Ea500LM

Both Matched at 500hz

While looking at the graph I wonder how you can turn it up, with 11.8db upper mids gain. I’d say tea pro is better other than coherency. Most Single DD will have better coherency

DIY is the new 10mm DD from Huayunxin?

its a diy i made using their IEX shell and the HTR10 driver (latest driver). They look so similar in their dip/peaks that they look like the same driver.

Whats the cost for A Pair? I know Driver cost isn’t everything

around 100 usd for me to make it. (driver and shell cost)
The shell is the majority of the price though, like maybe 80% of it.

Could be… but $900 is a steep Ask for a Single DD
