I have been using my pair for like one and a half years now, so far so good. The ear pads are still comfortable like cloud nine and I believe this is one of my most comfy headphones I have owned. The sounds are still good and very fun to have it on when listening to music and gaming despite it being tagged or labeled as a āgamingā headset. The mic from these, for the price it is very freaking solid still, for when I used it one time for my voice call session, my friends said that the mic that they are hearing from me is very clear and crisp.
This is definitely one of the best headphones I have ever owned and I am one of those folks who despise gaming branded peripherals, but this one? nope, this is an exception, for we know this is just a Pro 82 rebranded for gaming, yet not many gaming brands are doing that.
my old lady has been using these as her daily drivers for about a year and a half now. she has 0 respect for equipment lol. shes a brute. no issues with QC. still as great as day 1
All Iām seeing is that MH751 provides much better comfort than stock M40x (Iām not going to mod anything). How about the sound quality? Which is better? Stock straight-out-box wiseā¦
Nice to find that coller master has replacement mics, pads, and cables. Not all in stock but cool to see they are there. Are there any pad changes that work? I did a quick scan of the thread but it was hard to tell.
Hi guys i am stuck between the M40x and the Mh751 , i am gonna using it for gaming and listening for music in the office , is the mh751 really has a comparable sound quality to the m40x , i know the mh751 has the advantage in term of comfort and soundstage but what about music experience is the mh75 enjoyable to listen
Iād take the mh751. I found it to be much more balanced than the m40x, whose bass I thought was a little out of hand. Although the mh751 is a pretty timid heapdhone IMOānot super exciting (but that could be good for long listening sessions).
so iām about to get the -mh 752- and i looked up all its issues. including the screw problem, do you think gluing the screw in place would fix this ???thx4readinā.
It does make sense, canāt tell you whether it will work though. Youād think there would be some way to get to that screw. I mean they got it in there somehow right?
Havenāt heard the AKG but the MH751 is one of my favorite headphones to this day - comfortable AF, good tonality, natural to wide soundstage, good imaging, detachable mic if you need it for the office, what more could you ask for that price point?
EDIT: re:office - if youāre planning on running it directly off of your PC/laptop sound card, it doesnāt sound nearly as good, it gets sharp and undefined, you need a DAC/amp - I think literally any one would do, maybe the ifi ZEN DAC if youāre looking for budget
Iām a bit late to the party but I have both and maybe someone else is looking for an answer to that question.
The MH752 wins in every category against the K361 for me. Everything olinko allready mentioned and the fact that the K361 sounds just wrong to me. When I directly a-b them you can think the K361 is broken or somethingā¦ in marked the part that makes the big difference to me i think. Does not look like much of a difference but cant handle the K361 and like the MH752ā¦ or maybe my K361 are actually broken ^^ who knows
Now that this thread got bumped Iāll take the opportunity to share my experience with MH751 - I was personally not a big fan of the sound, just sounded flat and boring with weak bass despite the graph. Not fatiguing or obviously wrong or anything though. But I barely listened to any music on them because of it.
That said, they were very comfortable and came with a mic, so for the most part of the 3 years I have owned them they have been my work from home teleconferencing headset. Unfortunately after 3 years and one month since I bought them they died - first sound died in one side, and few days ago the other side went as well.
Physically, they held up great - despite daily use thereās no visible physical damage, the pleather isnāt peeling, no strayed wires, no loose screws. Which makes them dying all the more frustrating, even though itās about the expected lifespan for inexpensive electronic items these days. One of these days Iāll crack them open and see if I canāt resurrect them with some soldering.
did you try a different cable? more likely the cable went then the headset. something to try before ripping it apart if you havenāt. if you have, good luck with the tear down! post photoās!
