Havenât heard the AKG but the MH751 is one of my favorite headphones to this day - comfortable AF, good tonality, natural to wide soundstage, good imaging, detachable mic if you need it for the office, what more could you ask for that price point?
EDIT: re:office - if youâre planning on running it directly off of your PC/laptop sound card, it doesnât sound nearly as good, it gets sharp and undefined, you need a DAC/amp - I think literally any one would do, maybe the ifi ZEN DAC if youâre looking for budget
Iâm a bit late to the party but I have both and maybe someone else is looking for an answer to that question.
The MH752 wins in every category against the K361 for me. Everything olinko allready mentioned and the fact that the K361 sounds just wrong to me. When I directly a-b them you can think the K361 is broken or something⌠in marked the part that makes the big difference to me i think. Does not look like much of a difference but cant handle the K361 and like the MH752⌠or maybe my K361 are actually broken ^^ who knows
Now that this thread got bumped Iâll take the opportunity to share my experience with MH751 - I was personally not a big fan of the sound, just sounded flat and boring with weak bass despite the graph. Not fatiguing or obviously wrong or anything though. But I barely listened to any music on them because of it.
That said, they were very comfortable and came with a mic, so for the most part of the 3 years I have owned them they have been my work from home teleconferencing headset. Unfortunately after 3 years and one month since I bought them they died - first sound died in one side, and few days ago the other side went as well.
Physically, they held up great - despite daily use thereâs no visible physical damage, the pleather isnât peeling, no strayed wires, no loose screws. Which makes them dying all the more frustrating, even though itâs about the expected lifespan for inexpensive electronic items these days. One of these days Iâll crack them open and see if I canât resurrect them with some soldering.
did you try a different cable? more likely the cable went then the headset. something to try before ripping it apart if you havenât. if you have, good luck with the tear down! post photoâs!
