I actually just got an elegia yesterday. And the aeons I have are the opens so not apples to apples but they are both great. The elegia to me gives off more detail overall more clarity I feel. But the aeons are more forgiving for sure. Bass a little more present on the aeons in the midbass area but more actual punch on the elegia. That’s from my first overall impressions at least. I love my aeons overall, but when the elegia came in the first thing I noticed was more clarity. Which also meant that some harsher guitar distortion is more revealing whereas the aeons can cover it up a little more. They have a fairly close overall feel to me besides that. I’ll try to post up something more detailed after I get more time with the elegia.
I’m going to attempt to compare the elegia to my Aeolus, aeons, nighthawks, senns, and maybe even my teaks. And I’m an amateur at these comparisons so we will see how it goes. At least I got nothing but time lately lol
He is pretty busy, and is still stuck in a human malware hot zone. Besides that, @brux is fairly busy with a family and another job to juggle with as well.
Working on going through the backlog of emails today / tonight. In the middle of transitioning to full time with the cables business so spent the last week occupied with that while trying to make sure orders are getting out!
Got my cable in from @CapistranoCables for my 6XX’s - looks and sounds great! Very satisfied and will probably purchase additional “y” cables in the future. Thanks Jason!
Great to hear you are enjoying them! How do you like those Sennheiser pads? I have those type for my Elex, but wonder how you think they sound compared to stock on the Sennheisers? I have the Hybrid ones too, and use those the most, but bit the bullet this weekend and sprung for the Focal Elegia whch I wonder if they will have a bit more bass with the perforated pads. A very happy Memorial day to you!
